Rep Power: 46 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Heel or Face It seems to me that it is a lot harder for most wrestlers to keep their edge while a face. Of course, Randy Orton comes immediately to mind. It's easy to make fans hate you, but to really get the crowd behind you seems a lot more difficult for most. Which gets me to wondering about wrestlers who had the opposite problem...what wrestlers can you think of that were great faces but were never quite convincing as heels? Nobody comes immediately to mind, but I can think of guys like Ricky Steamboat who never made heel turns.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Like Flair said, Steamboat was always the ultimate face. There is no way he could have ever changed. Goldberg has one of the worst heel runs in the last 10 years. No one bought it so they dropped it after like 2 weeks. Stone Cold had a horrid time trying to be heel as well. Once he was over as one of the biggest faces of all time, for being bad, what can you really do? They turned him into a sniviling ***** but no one bought it. I never ever bought it either whenever Vince tried to be good, it just didn't work after he became Mr. Mcmahon.

I don't think anyone thought Hogan would have or could have turned heel either but he did. How do you know Steamboat couldn't have done a great job? Why do you make so many assumptions all the time? Vice was a face for 15 years and he did a great job at being overly nice even when wrestlers attacked him or insulted him. I always use to say I wish he would wreslte and kick some ass when he was a face on the mic. I totally don't understand your point bout saying "I never ever bought it either whenever Vince tried to be good, it just didn't work after he became Mr. Mcmahon." That was him going heel after being a face for forever. Horrible example for whatever point you were trying to make.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Rob Van Dam - even in the Alliance, he got more cheers than most of the babyface WWE stable Chris Benoit - he's so good that he doesn't really generate anything in the way of heel heat Rikishi - remember how he ran over Stone Cold? Yeah, that heel run didn't last long... And I agree, Stone Cold and Sting both had bad runs as heels.

I can't imagine Hacksaw Jim Duggan being a heel...never happend did it? I think Tito Santana as a heel would be weird, but for some reason I can picture him being a ****y asshole prick in his younger days, if they went that route.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Ida? Why do you get your panties in such a bunch whenever I type something on this board? Do you sit and wait for me to put something on here so you can go and tell me how stupid I am? You rarely, if ever have a point on anything except that if they don't agree with you they are dumb. Mcmahon was not a character involved in storylines up until the one with Stone Cold. And when involved with Austin he was automatically a heel, probably the greatest heel character of all time. Whenever Vince tries to be a face now no one believes it because he is the evil Mr. Mcmahon. As for Steamboat I didn't say that you raging, *********. Ric Flair said that. So you had better call him up and tell him hes making stupid assumptions cause he never knew or worked with the guy right? And apparently it was the right thing to say unless Steamboat decides to come out of retirement and take his rightful place as most badass heel of all time right? I
