Are we all secretly waiting?

It seems that there has been a lot of new talent stepping up and has the potential to be the next top guy but are all all secretly really just waiting for the next SCSA,Foley,and The Rock?

I am starting to wonder if we will ever see it again.It almost seems like it only happens once a generation and it might be 15-20 years before we see it again.And even it if does, people will prolly just say oh he is just trying to be like so and so. I don't think any of the talent that we have now can really fill their shoes or be as big as they were. If I had to pick one person I would say Christian seems to have the most potential simply because of his natural charisma he seems to have. I don't care who you are, if you don't have natural charisma then it they don't have a chance in hell.

You have to look at the time also. when lookin' at Austin..Austin's appeal came about during the whole "Attitude" thing that WWE ripped off of ECW. People were really into the bad ass don't take shit from your boss thing, but I don't know...Austin did the role really well, and it probably shouldn't be attempted by somebody else because everybody will always compare them to the first. WWE needs to move away from the trying to kill your boss thing..and think of something new.


The Rock and Mick Foley are more interesting, because there are alot of hardcore guys out there..but how many of them can combine it with some of the best promos you've ever seen? Prolly nobody. And The Rock, well he is just the best damn promo guy there has ever been, because some guys are great heels, others are great faces, but the rock could do both, and you don't see that often either.

I think it's wishful thinking, that we will ever see that much talent assembled at the same time ever again..Once in a lifetime.

I dont think we will ever see it again either. Back when The Rock and Austin were running things WWE was in there prime everyone was watching it, it was actually cool to watch wrestling, But now its only die hard fands and a few other people watching wrestling just hoping for a good match every once in a while. Sure Brock got big, but was he a rock or austin "OH GIVE ME A HELL NO". The only guy to make it close is Kurt and hes probably the last, no one will make it to the level of Rock or Austin again unless the market takes a huge turn for the better, but I dont think its going to happen because wrestling is getting stale like old bread being left out for 40 years.

In order for WWE to connect like they did before it will take a major shift in business policy. They need a new "era" so to speak. I suppose you could call this the HHH era and that is not what the fans wanna see. The other problem is that you won't have another era until some wrestler connects with the fans and takes the ball and runs with it. Right now nobody has that potential. And I don't see anyone in the future. WWE is stale because I can predict exactly what will happen 3 months before it happens. There is no unpredictability. All the matches have the same formula. Brawl around, rest holds, maybe bleed, ref bump, run in, exchange finishers, do each others finishers, then either win by interference or a DQ finish. I don't know if the writers and bookers are showing their age, but it is becoming unoriginal and boring.
