Hulk Hogan or Ric Flair Remember, the question is who entertained you more, not who was the better wrestler or who was more influential in the success of professional wrestling. I was more entertained by Ric Flair. I loved his promos as I loved Hogan's. But when Hogan would go out and wrestle that was the end of it for me. Hogan's matches, with the exception of a few, didn't entertain me. I hated it, when he got his ass kicked, only to Hulk up and destroy the other guy. There was more thought behind Flair's matches and his storylines. It was more realistic. Hogan was great outside of the ring no doubt, but Flair entertained me all the time, wherever he was, not just in promos. So that's what I think. Now you.

Rep Power: 9 ![]() ![]() | OK start you answer with your age because I`m guessing around 50% of this sites users were either a) not born b) not old enough to remember or c) were not a wrestling fan when both these guys were in their prime. I`m 27 btw. Going off what I think of my veiwing of these two stars (and Ive been lucky enough to catch both live) Flair entertains me more. I was a fledgling Hulkamaniac but my perceptions of what makes an entertaining wrestler go beyond hype and because of that Ive found Flair`s longevity in many a different roles in wrestling makes him a greater entertainer. |

Umm..No, I'm 22 and therefore missed some of their career but I have all kinds of old wrestling tapes and shit that I bought from a video store that was going out of business. So that's how I know all their stuff.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | I was never a big Hogan fan. He was always too goody-goody in his WWF babyface run, and I was on wrestling fan hiatus when WCW signed him away and the nWo angle happened. But, I guess it could be argued that his prime occurred with the WWF, not WCW, so I'll go off of that. Hogan as a babyface cut the same hokey promo over and over again (What'cha gonna do, training-prayers-vitamins, 24-inch pythons crap) and pretty much wrestled the same match. These days, people on here criticize John Cena for having more fingers than wrestling moves, but he dwarfs Hogan in variety of offense. Hogan had the following moves: punch, back rake, bodyslam, big boot, leg drop. Hell, Tyson Tomko could be the next Hulk Hogan with that offensive repertoire! Ric Flair, on the other hand, is thoroughly entertaining in and out of the ring. I know he's not the worker he once was, but I still mark out to his matches to this day. His promos are fantastic, his ringwork combines psychology, technicality, and (most importantly) humor. Who doesn't love it when he does the face-plant spot, the "NOOO!" begging off spot, or the ever-popular dirty low kick? Sure, I've seen those spots over and over, but I don't get tired of them. The difference with Naitch is that when he's given more than 5 minutes in a match (rare these days), he would do more than just those signature spots. He not only had a variety of legit offense, but he'd make his opponent look like a million bucks at the same time. Hogan couldn't keep up with him. How many Hogan matches have you seen go over 30+ minutes? On top of that, can you imagine a Hogan match lasting that long and remain interesting throughout? Naitch is simply superior.
