Well when the two fought in WCW Flair was the better of the two just because aside from being better in the promo dept. Flair managed to pull somewhat decent matches out of Hogan. Also in their primes its a shame that Flair's popularity and notariaty were confined to the southern territories while Hogan's name was all over the world. There are people at the time who probably couldn't tell you who Flair was. But Flair wins this easy.
Hogan was one of the worst workers ever. He was there solely to entertain the kids, and deserves much credit (or blame, if you prefer) for changing the industry, though the hypocrisy bothers me of preaching vitamins and prayers while practicing steroids. Still, he made alot of $$$ for VKM and for himself, and as Austin would say, that's the bottom line.
But in ring, Flair was always the man. Even now, much needed comic relief. I'm figuring he turns on HHH soon.
Hogan never entertained me in the ring. Even when I was a kid. Flair's charisma, and comical value can't be equaled. He's just funny as hell. Hogan didnt really have that much charisma to me, atleast he wasnt that interesting.
Ric Flair was on the level of a Roddy Piper, Jake Roberts, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mic Foley, The Rock
Some people are just more interesting on the mic...
As for in ring ability definitly Flair even though his was, and is questionable. Hogan's was just so bad man lol...
I'm not sure I buy into this whole Flair can't wrestle thing..People are going to far with it. Is Flair overated in the ring? most definitely, but he did have some 5 star matches with the likes of Ricky Steamboat and others. He was good.
I dont deny he's a good wrestler sometimes, but a lot of the time he's very overrated. He always seems to fall back on a crutch. Chops, getting thrown off the top rope when he blows a top rope move, the foolish spinning around until he falls on his face, the whole getting thrown into the ropes, and flipping upside down. I mean fine sometimes people have signature styles, but atleast try to switch it up a little.. I realize he's real old now, but maybe he just shouldn't be in the ring. Even in the older days he was good, but never that great...

This is the kind of thing Ric Flair of today has to cram into the WWE ten minute spot fest`s they call matches. As Blitzkrieg said earlier it is worth looking at old tapes to see Flair perform as he used to best in 30-40 minute matches. I know that older slower paced matches are not to everyones tastes in the modern Wrestling world and it`s fanbase but at the time and in their enviroment some of Flairs work was simply untouchable.
