Scotty 2 Hotty

Does anyone else think they missed a golden opportunity with his recent return? Picture this...

One night on Smackdown, Scotty 2 Hotty comes out, and as usual gets little reaction except for maybe a few little kids that are happy to see him. But instead of coming out dancing and smiling and stuff like that, he's very serious.

He gets into the ring and grabs the mic, and he says something to this effect "I realize that you fans havent seen much of me lately, and I wish I could've been out here performing for you guys, but I had some very important issues to take care of. I had some very serious health issues, which may have been cancer-related..." and he can talk about his struggles and stuff like that.

He can then end the promo talking about how this experience put things into perspective for him and he's going to live every day to is fullest, yadda yadda yadda.

Now, you figure the crowd has got to make an emotional connection with him here. And then you have a cruiserweight besides Rey who may actually have a connection with the crowd.

Instead, all we got was a passing mention of his ailments by Michael Cole during one of his matches, and Scotty once again fades into obscurity and Velocity duty

Hmm, that's a tough one to say. The dude is in a bad need for a new gimmick, but it's not like he's been trying that hard to reinvent himself ever since he started doing the worm. I guess I'll agree that WWE missed an chance to repackage him only in that anything is better than what he's doing now.... tho, I don't think they're missing out on that much.

I understand what you mean, but they've been paying the guy for years now and getting nothing from their investment. Now, they had a way to get him over, at least for a short period of time, right in front of their faces, and they dont take advantage of it.

You could be damn sure if it was HHH who had a cancer scare we'd be getting video packages galore talking about how great he is, and what a wonderful story it is

They were both kinda stupid. Mainly a comedic act. Comedic acts have no business holding tag team titles.

Grand master was SOOOOOOOO annoying. Everytime he made a stupid "ya i am cool" face or that heel face he makes it made me so mad! I wanted to throw a chair at his head.

I think what made 2 Cool annoying was the fact that WWE was actually pushing them as cool. Remember when they were heels, and they were supposed to be guys trying too hard to be cool? That was a nice gimmick because we all know people like that in our lives, and I know I'd pay money to see them get beat up.

Now, with all this talk of cool, what about we turn Scotty heel, and make him a Carlito groupie? This may or may not create some humorous and/or successful angles.
