Lay of Edge guys at least crowds are booing him as a heel rather than ignoring him as a face. Remember this guy had great programs with both Angle and Benoit on Smackdown and will always have the fact that he was in those crazy ass TLC matches. He may not be able to carrying the ball but we all know Vince loves sticking a Heel as champ two/three months after mania, and if I posted a poll on who`d be the best Heel champ on Raw it would be between him and hassan.
PS Im not dissing HHH but it seems no-one wants him to become champ again (apart from steph)
HHH is needed in the WWE and he should and will stay in the top 3 guys. IT just has been a while since there has been 3 top guys on bother sides and it looks as though they are slowing trying to build to that.
My only Batista concern, that hasn't been stated at least, is his out of ring attire. Is he gonna pull an Orton and take of the tie, thus making him fan friendly? Dude needs something unique, Austin had his shorts, rock had his amazing shirts, Batista needs something.

That is just how Evolution rolls so he rolls like that too. I think he will have his own style soon enough.
Batista doesn't need to be a wonderful wrestler to be a great Main Eventer and if you think he does then you clearly have your head in your ass.
See: Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, The Rock, and many others
It really comes down to the storylines for Batista. Batista HAS the talent to be a great Main Eventer but it's going to have a lot to do with what WWE, including mostly Triple H, can with him.

Personally, I think Batista should stick with the suits. I know its Evolution's thing, but he looks really sharp in those suits, and they fit his "Cool Killer" character

*Edge is still being ignored - his reactions upon his entrance really do show how much he sucks.
*Having great programs with Angle and Benoit.. wow, being carried through 2 feuds by the best in the business. Toughie.
*TLC matches were quality, but they were spot-fests, and a lot of wrestlers could pull it off. Plus a lot of it relied on who he was with - the Hardys, Christian, etc..
Sorry, I just HATE Edge.
Mr D, I agree on the attire issue - he looks awesome in his slick suits - it's a look that suits him even better than Triple H.
Miakal is right - a person can only get over as much as WWE lets them, unless it's a rare case. SCSA got over despite - or, even because of his heel persona. But the WWE was what pushed him through the atmosphere. But with a guy like Batista, they need the correct handling to stay over. Look at Orton, his career has nose-dived since the WWE made a hash of his angles. However, to say his popularity will nosedive after Wrestlemania is unfair - he could be sustained at the top if he is handled right.

What they need to do with Batista is basically the opposite of what they did with Orton: let him keep the same character after he wins the title
After Batista wins the title (whether its at WM or later) he should continue to have that attitude of "I know I'm the best, and I'm not gonna lose my cool". You can have heels continually trying to get under his skin, but he just quietly and effectively puts them away. They've got a good thing going here, like they did with Orton. I just hope they dont feel they need to make him more "face-like"

Yes, that would be great. His demeanor would create a lot of tension for matches, especially if played correctly with the right writing in-between just that.
