Booker T v The Rock

Just something that's always bugged me. The Rock is the guy who supposedly redifined what a wrester is. Interviews in street clothes etc.. yet it was Booker T in the WCW who was there doing it before him. Booker is a guy who should have made it all the way, maybe even to The Rocks status yet he never did. Dam it annoys me.

Don't get me wrong, Booker has been a fine wrestler over the years, providing many memorable moments.

But he is NO Rock.

Nah dude, I wouldn't worry about Booker too much. He's got a good job, has had a good career, and seems like a genuinely content guy (just an observation). Sure he's not raking it in like the Rock, but he's made good money and has plans to retire at a young age. Be happy for him man

Actually, I'm pretty sure Booker started doing it after Rock, and that Booker was widely panned as a Rock rip-off.

I'm a Booker T fan, but he's nowhere near the Rock's level. But I agree that he's a fine performer. I just think its a shame that he didnt get his break until WCW fell to pieces.

The Rock didn't redefine what a wrestler was. Futhermore, interviews in street clothes? It's been done since the early 80s.

The Rock, in my mind, is basically just an updated Ric Flair who can do face just as well as a heel.

I don't think he deserves all the attention he gets. He was great but how great would've he been without Stone Cold, Foley, and Triple H?

I liked Booker T but he wasn't much more than a Rock clone after Russo came to WCW. Still, he will always remain one of the top tag team wrestlers in the game and one of the more respected guys to guy out there as well. In the wrestling business, respect can mean a lot more than movie deals or Championship belts.

Well put. As good as he is, he is no Rock. I do think tho, that Booker's career, as good as it has been, should've been better. He should've won the title at WrestleMania when he faced Triple H, a few years back.

Don't get me wrong I like The Rock and he posseses a lot of abilities that the Booker man can't compare too, but I always thought Booker was the better wrestler as far as what he could do in the ring.

I am not at all qualified to compare wrestling abilities, but I know that as a fan, I do find myself more entertained by Booker in the ring (those crazy crazy kicks) then The Rock, whose moveset seems more generic to me. So I'm with you on this one Blitz.

At the same time though, The Rock is just a much better all-around entertainer than Booker. But, there's no shame in that for Booker - not many people can even be compared to The Rock at all.
