RAW Thoughts for Feb. 14th - Wrestling Forums : WWE, TNA, ECW, E-Fed, Wrestlemania, Live Wrestling Streams

I enjoyed RAW this week.

My thoughts:

-Hassan vs. Y2J wasn't great but Hassan did pick up his biggest win to date. I still think this whole Hassan thing will die out quick but he is getting a really good crowd reaction everywhere he goes. I heard JR say tonight that Hassan is still undefeated but I thought Y2J beat him in a RR Qualifier?

-Christian vs. Orton was excellent. I love Christian and would really like to see him pick up a big win here someday, but the match was probably one of the best matches of the new year in WWE. Crowd was really into it.

-Kane kills Dean, so I guess Heat is the next stop for Simon before he gets the axe, unless they want him to stick around and just be an asshole who gets killed all the time.

-Snitsky's acting is the worst, but I don't know, for some reason I don't mind him comin' out each week. Shelton didn't lose the belt and I was really happy for him, WWE should have him break Honkey's record.

-I thought it was a mistake for Christy to come out and promote her being in Playboy while Trish was in there. Nothing against Christy, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who was looking at the two standing side by side and wondering why Trish isn't the one posing.

-The Batista-HHH angle really is the best storyline WWE has had in a really long time. They continued the slow build this week and it was again very effective. Batista might show up on Smackdown! this week and for that I might actually tune in to Smackdown! on Thursday.

honestly i'm getting sick of orton... i must be in the minority who thought that christian deserved to win more than orton. his character is a joke that he needs stacy kiebler's help to resurrect his career, atleast for now.
i used to like him, but its been like 2 years since he's been pushed but he hasn't shown any improvement with his mic skills to actually be a main eventer. his in-ring wrestling isn't great either to compensate for his boring mic style, unlike benoit.

A few thoughts...

*Christian needs to be put over some people, soon. Last year, he seemed set for a push, especially after WMXX. That never materialised, and he's slid back to the midcard. Shame, because he's far more talented than Edge, who is on a major push, it seems. And even HBK admitted it, in an interview on IGN.com. I remember him giving glowing comments about Christian, and then including Edge, as if an afterthought.

*I think they should have kept Orton with the IC title and have him break the Honk Tonk Man's record.. he was well on the way, and then they pulled the trigger too early. Still, Orton/Christian was good.

*Batista is awesome. Love him.

*Yeah, Trish looked much hotter than Christy. But she's still a hottie.

*I like Simon Dean. Shame he's being shat on in such a manner.

I think the orton-christian match was amazing and as much as i`m waiting to see captain charisma get a push (and get rid of that nobody) i think he lost nothing in defeat in a match that finally got orton back on track too. Hassan-Jericho also was a very solid match for TV and I`d love to see Hassan fued with a few upper carders like Y2J and Benoit amongst others, his in ring belies what we`ve been used to seeing in OVW call-ups and his promo work is amazing. The rest of the show was fair but nothing special. I think its time to let the Batista-HHH thing go now and lets have a good build-up to WM. And as Blitz said there might be a reason to watch smackdown this week, (even tho we know JBL wasnt in the limo and HHH set that up, I wonder if Randy Orton was driving after JR mention his "mean streak" this week)
