Its about time IMO. Kash, mexicools, sandman, dreamer all being wasted. And with the news Heyman is booking it should be good. Hopefully its inpedendant from wwe apart from the finiancial aspect. like its free to say what they want but wwe still get the profit money etc. What do you guys think?

If its real then good for all the guys that worked their asses off all those years and are being wasted now they could go to THE NEW ECW (god that sounds good) and be marketed.

I've heard from some very realiable sources that it's true.
This is definately a good move by the WWE, capitalizing on ECW's popularity.
And I think it is quite obvious why the WWE is doing this...........TNA!
They are finally realising that TNA is a growing threat, and they are doing something about it.

This is a huge move. I could eventually see them making Smackdown, ECW and then having the brand wars the way it should have been played out, just minus WCW. Or even making a third brand being ECW, getting it nationally televised, just not in the prime-time slots. This could be really big for them if they play out the cards right, but if they just make ECW what OVW is today it will be a slap in the face of any ECW fans as it won't really be EC F'n W

- The USA Network has the 6/7 9PM-11PM ET timeslot listed as "To Be Announced" right now. As reported earlier, WWE is scheduled to have a WWE vs. ECW Head to Head Special taping in Dayton, OH that night. The show will air live on 6/7.

- Interestingly enough, the Saturday 2AM replay of AM RAW timeslot is being listed as "To Be Announced" for the entire month of June. Many have speculated that WWE might put an ECW show in that timeslot.

- WWE is in negotiations to book the former ECW Arena for a show on 6/24 in Philadelphia, PA. ECW made the former bingo hall famous in the 90s and it became the home of the promotion. The last ECW show held in the arena was on December 23rd, 2000. TNA has already booked the ECW Arena for a show on 6/9 titled "Hardcore War."
