Many have been wondering where Vince McMahon got the sudden “smarts” to start up the ECW promotion again. One inside source says Vince is trying to start his own “grass-roots” promotion to battle TNA’s style of promotion.
Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast,
Hmmm. ECW coming back may have alot to do with TNA. Though I still think it will not be NEARLY as entertaining as the old ECW. Alot of their wrestlers are retired, or working in TNA, ROH etc.
Though I also think that it will be decent. Just as long, of course, that WWE's kid show writers stay away from the promotion. Paul Heyman doing the booking will be a plus. I'm not positive on wheter I will like Styles being there or not yet. Time will tell...
The Sandman has signed on for WWE's ECW. His official website confirmed this today. CW Anderson is also signed. ECWWrestlingNews.com has more details on who's signed and who hasn't.
Joey Styles' bio has been removed from ECW.com. This is only to sell the current RAW angle. He'll be returning full-time to work the ECW brand.

Here is the current group of talent that is expected to be a part of the new ECW project that will debut next month.

Several developmental wrestlers from Ohio Valley Wrestling and Deep South Wrestling will eventually be used for this new ECW project. CM Punk is one individual who is line for a big push in the new ECW.
Other wrestlers who may be brought to ECW include Roadkill, Kid Kash, Super Crazy, Justin Credible (if he doesn't stay with the MTV project) and Lance Storm (he may work select dates, but not full-time.).
The play-by-play announcer will be Joey Styles. The ring announcer will be Steven DeAngelis. The bookers will be Paul Heyman, Tommy Dreamer and possibly Smackdown's Ed Koskey on a part time basis.

WWE has been trying very hard as of late to land ECW a TV deal on the USA network. Many believe that it will eventually happen. Sources indicate that WWE knows that they really need ECW to have its own TV slot instead of an internet show if they want it to succeed.
Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast,
lol, CM Punk getting a push in ECW? should be interesting since old ECW fans basicly lived off past info and stuff, If the new ECW fans react the same way. Punk should be huge over when he steps on to that stage. So good idea by WWE. Plus with a riskier aura to ECW. His Japan influanced Style should be to huge of a problem.
The only downfall so far is Tony Mamaluke? come on the guy played no role in ECW's past and he has little to no Charisma lol Bah, WWE's fault i guess.
