Help: Whose held both WCW and WWF World belts?

Well then the only other guy I can think of that you didn't mention was Sid.

Don't forget Chris Benoit, he held it for a day, between beating Bret Hart and then fleeing to the WWF.

Then it must have been Hart being stripped/forfeiting the title at that time prior to the Sid match.

I believe Bret won a 32-man tournament (I forget why the title was vacant), and then Bret got stripped of the belt due to injury or something, but I don't recall how Sid and Benoit ended up fighting for the title...and your right Benoit won the title for a day and then left for WWE and Benoit didn't enjoy winning it, sounded like on his DVD that he really didn't care cuz he had enough of the politics.

So add Sid and Benoit to the list you have, I'm not sure if Buddy Rogers ever won the WCW (It would have had to been NWA) title but he very well might have.

Buddy Rogers did hold the NWA World Title twice...first defeating Pat O'Conner in 1961 and then regaining the title from BoBo Brazil in 1962 with controversy.


Here is some WWWF history about Rogers as well from nwawrestling.com....

Killer Kowalski defeats Rogers on 62/11/21 in Montreal, QC after Rogers' ankle is broken in first fall; Kowalski is recognized as champion in some places including Texas; Rogers defeats Kowalski on 63/01/21 in New York, NY, but Kowalski claims the match is not for the title.

Oh ya Sid. Ya any WWE owned WCW titles doesn't count. So unfortunately Benoit has held the real WCW belt for a day, but not the real WWE, unless they merge rosters and he wins the title then.
