Gangrel

Well? Did the WWE make a mistake letting him go when he brought him and Big Vis in to help defeat the Undertaker a few months back?

I believe so. He had a completely different gimmick, collected cool stables ala E&C then the Hardys back in the day and had one of the best entrances bar none.

He also seemed to keep himself in pretty good shape.

I personally am suprised I am writing this in the year 2005 where those types of gimmicks seem to be gone, but isnt that what wrestling is all about...The Gimmick.

It's about time......now bring on his next fued....

God yes. I love Gangrel. The WWE wasted him by letting him go. The fans always cheered and he had an awesome gimmick. He could wrestle in the ring too. Man he was just fun to watch.

He was great. I liked him right from his first televised match on RAW, against Brian Christopher.

Not too good a wrestler but a great gimmick. They've kept far worse on the roster (I'm looking at you Hardcore)

He'll never be a huge draw, but he could keep the fans entertained a whole lot more than this current drone army of guys like Jindrack, Jordan, Reigns, and Heidenretch can.

I think this is an excellent example of how the WWE is missing the boat with its fans. Not ever wrestler needs a gimmick, but it is nice to have a few gimmick-based characters. I mean the ones that are somewhat unrealistic but interesting none-the-less (I am not talking about the Simon Dean's or Haasan's here). Everyone enjoys the super-gimmicks! i.e. the Hurricane, the Undertaker. Beyond those two there isnt much anymore.

^ agreed, I think WWE is taking itself a bit too seriously these days. Not that I think WWE should care, but I guess having a vampire in the middle of a wrestling ring would look kinda dorky in mainstream entertainment. But sometimes dorky is good. Having some goofy guys make the serious guys look that much more serious.

Why can't WWE just have a character who thinks he a vampire, and who just happens to have a kickass intro? Maybe they can make him into a manager of a stable, and for once have the wrestlers adopt the entrance of their managers instead of the managers adopting the wrestlers'.

Just my two cents

I wish they would've kept him around - he's far more talented than Viscera (ugh). Plus, he has the best ring entrance ever.

He could've formed a new Brood (not to be confused with the "New Brood" - which was the Hardys). Form a stable of guys who are currently gimmickless and make something interesting out of it.
