Who agrees with me that WWE should bring this title back?

It gave some of the lesser quality guys in the company with respect to their mat skills something to do worth while and it gave all of us fans some memorable Hardcore bouts that you don't really see that much anymore.

Here are some highlights that I liked during the Hardcore Title's existance:

-Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam (Invasion PPV)
-Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam Ladder Match (Summerslam 2001)
-Tommy Dreamer vs. Rob Van Dam (HC/IC Unification Match)
-Mick Foley vs. Big Bossman (RAW)
-Raven vs. Kane vs. Big Show (Wrestlemania XVIII)
-Harcore Title Time Limit Match

.....There are others that I'm most likely forgetting but you get the idea. The Hardcore Title brought another demention to WWE that they are lacking in today and I' like to see it make a comeback. Think about what guys like Rhyno, Tajiri, Stevie Richards, Spike Dudley, etc. could be doing if the title was still around.

One of the bes hardcor matches I remember was Rhyno Vs Raven at Backlash 2001.

And lets not forget KENNEL FROM HELL

I'd rather they just got the Cruiserweight Division right than bring back a title that Raven won nearly 30 times in the couple of years he was there.

It had it's time (particularly the comedy involving Crash's 24/7 reign) but that time is over now.

That Rhyno-Raven match was awesome. Best match on that PPV

I would agree with bringing that title back, but then we would have less time for HHH and JBL!!! and we cant let that happen!

I would say no, as it devalues moves and the higher up the ladder guys. If Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards, lower mid card guys, can take 38 chair shots and kick out, then HBK takes one and gets pinned, then, why aren't they main eventers. Also it's inconsistent. Using the above statement, they then wrestle a regular match, and then can't kick out of a simple finisher from another mid carder.

The only way I would say its ok, is to have it only used on house and PPV's making it unique and not showing low guys taking ppv main event style beatings on TV every week.

I want to say no to bringing the Hardcore Title back. Too many damn titles as it is already. Plus, everyone and their dog won the Hardcore Title. Managers, referees, etc..

It was getting to be ridiculous. And wasn't it at WresleMania 2000 when it changed hands like 13 times during the match?! The craziness!

Winning that title really didn't mean much.

I would like to see it back and just scrap the IC Title. That title is worthless. The champ doesnt even get a spot on RAW and the main feud Shelton is in, is with a jobber. bring back the Hardcore Title, minus the comedy. Make the title more serious. I miss hardcore matches.

I thought about that, and I came up with an idea...what if every hardcore match was a last man standing match. Then, you can explain how a guy can get up after a chairshot (10 count instead of 3) but not be able to kick out of a finisher in a regular match.

I also think that were they to bring it back, they should have it so that the people in the match dont wrestle again for 2 or 3 weeks. Perhaps, you could only have it defended on PPVs. This way, you really sell the brutality of the match

Here is a thought. Maybe when they have the ECW PPV they will bring in the ECW belt and then work it into WWE as the Hardcore title. That way the belt will have a new flavor while still having part of the ECW atill alive after the PPV is over. I think it is a cool idea and it would be good to see an ECW title on the line for the PPV.

I don't agree with Lynch's point about the hardcore guys looking better cuz they take 10 chair shots and kick out. A regular wrestling match probably wouldn't have ten chair shots, it doesn't mean you are a better wrestler than Kurt Angle.

So Kurt gets beat with a chair shot? Raven would get beat by Angle regardless cuz of Angle's mat skills and submissions. Angle would probably have Raven in the ankle lock in no time, in the middle of the ring, and Raven would have to tap out. Raven being able to take chair shots to the skull is an equalizer for him because he can't wrestle legit without using weapons against a guy like Angle or Benoit. See my point?

The Hardcore Title is totally different from any other division in wrestling. Maybe Benoit wouldn't beat Tajiri in a hardcore match, but if it got right down to wrestling, Tajiri would probably have no chance.

The Title would definitely have to be made legit however, like someone was saying. No 24-hour rule bullshit.
