I don't know why this guy hasn't been thrust into a big time storyline yet. Sure he is the I.C. champ, but he almost never defends it and the last few weeks he's been subjected to working with those super hero fools and La Resistance.

I'll accept the fact that Shelton isn't a great speaker on the mic, but I don't think he has to be penalized for that. He's probably the best athlete in the company, has lots of innovative moves, and can do it all with respect to mat wrestling, ring psychology, and aerial offense, but I'm always left wanting to see more of Shelton. A story with Benoit, Jericho, Orton, HBK, whoever. Those would be some great matches. He had a brief story with Christian, but it was just thrown together at the last minute. The crowd was really behind him vs. HHH but then they didn't do anything with the guy after that.

The little scenes showing Shelton and where he grew up were nice and gave fans a little history about him, but it hasn't been followed up and I think that's a mistake.

Send him to Smackdown! or whatever you need, but I want to see more of Shelton somewhere.

I remember him doing the APA impersonations with Charlie Haas about a year ago and thinking he was pretty good on the mic.

Not HHH bashing here, but I can remember him being crap on the mic when he was first getting pushed, however, he's had so much mic time over the years he's become pretty good in that area.

Fact is, very few wrestlers get mic time on Raw these days with Evolution in so many sketches, Jericho has his Highlight Reel, Michaels, Edge & Orton are interviewed most weeks and one other bit is reserved for the "push of the month", be it Simon Dean, Muhammad Hassan or whoever. Guys like Benjamin just aren't going to be allowed to develop.

Maybe they are giving him the long slow push (not to be confused with the porn movie), so that ppl care about him, but so he's not shuffled all over the card, then wait for the right storyline. Or not.

Charlie Haas should come over to RAW and challenge Shelton to a match. I bet that would be a good match.

I am starting to think the writers can only do a few good stories at a time and it takes everyone involved to get the good ones they are doing now. This prolly causes guys like Shelton to suffer because they don't have anything in the works for him at the moment which causes him to just float around with no real storyline or feud.

I don't think he is that great. He is o.k. athletic wise but watching him wrestle to me is like watching paint dry.
