Jim Ross losing his marbles? plus Raw Thoughts for January 17th 2005

I was pretty sure I heard something last night during the Kane/Zito match and sure enough after rewinding my DVR I confirmed that JR in fact said when Snitsky picked up the steel chair.

"My, God, he looks like he is pleasuring himself with that look on his face."

Pleasuring himself??? What in the hell is that ?

*I actually liked the ending of the main event. Only problem is Zitsky changing his facial expressions like 5 times and clearing checking to see if Kane was ok was kinda weak production, but all Zitskys fault.

*That crowd was AWESOME !!!! No wonder why they go to Toronto every other week it seems.

*Kane just works as a heel, Can anyone really see him as a legit World Champion the way he is going?

*GREAT, FANTASTIC promo by HHH to Batisita. Terrible explination, but I have a feeling it was supposed to be a cheap ass reason. They have already planted the seeds for the split, but they are doing some cool stuff with the scaredy cat HHH. I like how he is timid around Big Dave and wont look him in the eye and what not.

They can still use a great reason for the eventually split. Big Dave can claim the only reason he was ever in Evolution is because HHH was always afraid to face him, so the next best thing is to have him on your side.

*Good job putting over the house shows by giving La Onlytagteamonrawstance the tag straps. Although they should really be bringing up these green wrestlers as tag teams. Hey, it worked for Haas and Shelton.

*Trish looked SUPER SUPER hot last night. Torrie Wilson may be moving over in favor of Toronto's own Trish Stratus. She played the crowd perfectly. Not only is she the best heel woman in Raw history, but she may be one of the best OVERALL heels in the WWE in recent memory.

It's about time......now bring on his next fued....

That was a huge chokeslam on Trish - why was more not made of it? JR and King seemed a bit anticlimatic when that happened, and afterwards they didn't seem to show any shock or anything - that's a 7 footer chokeslamming Trish - it's a big deal, sell it! Jeez.. She did look very hot too. She needs to wear the minimum clothing required all the time.

She was a heel and got what she deserved. No big deal when a heel chci or not gets what is coming. Always been that way.

Perhaps - but a chokeslam? To a woman? That's still savage

That crap with Snitsky at the end of RAW was unintentionally funny. I mean, did he not realize or know beforehand that the cameras would be on them after they went through the tables? God I hope he's off RAW soon.

The Triple H-Batista storyline continues to get better each week. This is perhaps one of the strongest storylines the writing crew has delivered. It's unfortunate that they can only had 1-2 good stories at a time instead of numerous stories for all of their talent. Batista is now the odds-on favorite to win the Rumble. No one else on either show is being pushed to win it like he is.

Vince & co. were likely holding their breath when they saw Viscera botch that splash in the corner on Batista. They're lucky Batista didn't get hurt. That would've been big trouble.

I was surprised that they are having Edge-Shawn Michaels as a match at the Rumble when both guys are in the Rumble. They could've had a confrontation in that match with someone eliminating the other guy, thus helping to progress their feud as they head to WM 21. Perhaps we'll see Edge-Orton at WM? I know it's been done before, but it could still be an interesting match.

Shelton Benjamin needs a good opponent fast, because the fans aren't that interested in him right now. I would put Hassan against Benjamin. Even though Hassan is a bit limited in the ring, he generates great heat and thus, would help get the crowd behind Benjamin.

RAW was an average show. Oh, and before I go I must agree that Trish was looking mighty fine. Victoria is an underrated hottie and I'd like to see her get more TV time.

I'm liking Batista-HHH storyline progression with each week.

And yes that was a pretty damn big chokeslam on Trish by Kane. And yes Trish did look hot as f**k! like she always does.

Overall I liked the show and the crowd was really good throughout.
