I am going to have to disagree to a certain degree.. All the people that have been mentioned in connection with face paint and so on STILL had the charisma to get the gimmic over..A big guy cutting a bad promo in paint/mask is still just a big guy that can't a promo..he just looks extra stupid doing it..
If there is a need to bring anything back that would help some of these guys out it would be TALENTED managers..not WWE bimbos...LOD didn't say much for years for a reason, they didn't need to..Paul did all the hard work for them..Heenan got so many big goofs over in the 80's it amazes me..you don't see anything like that anymore..Batista is doing well now because he had timne to slowly work his way into speaking more(and learning from the best Ric Flair doesn't hurt either)...Had they debut Batista in a mask or face paint and he couldn't pull it off we would be talking about how they dropped the ball again..Not how cool that face paint was...

I don't know...I always looked at Demolition as a Road Warriors rip off, but there feud with the Powers of Pain (another face painted team) was cool.

I like masks on cruiserweights like people from Mexico or Japan but I don't know if masks would be cool for big guys. I liked Doom (Ron Simmons and Butch Reed) better when they lost their masks.

Although Kane had a mask and was cooler when he had it cuz he was like a silent killer type guy.

I'm just rambling now so I don't know, if something is done right and fits the person anything can work in wrestling.
