Questions re: Orton/Batista/HHH - Wrestling Forums : WWE, TNA, ECW, E-Fed, Wrestlemania, Live Wrestling Streams

I remember thinking they did Orton's face turn way too fast. I think HHH gave him the thumbs down on the RAW immediately following the PPV where he won the belt. Now Batista's angle's been taking months. Not even a HHH chair shot to the head turned him. Batista hasn't 1/100 of the mic skills of Orton, so the "tension" is boring me to tears. Anyone know why the difference in timing?

Is it a violation of "Kayfabe" for HHH to admit on air that the fans think he gets favoritism from Vince? After all he needed Batista's help to win the chamber, and he's supposed to be on the outs with GM Bischoff.

Also, did Orton blow his bit at the beginning of RAW? He said right at the beginning he was gonna settle his beef with Batista later in the show, but that was at the same time he was asking for a title shot on that same show vs. HHH, and before Bischoff made the surprise announcement of the #1 contenders' match. Odd?

I'd say that because the feud between Batista and HHH has the potential to explode into something huge -and you gotta admit, the WWE has been doing a pretty damn good job of pacing themselves with this storyline, dropping hints etc.-. The WWE will probably pace it out until at LEAST Wrestlemania to pass the torch over to guys LIKE Batista and Orton etc.

Kayfabe no longer exists in the WWE. When you have wrestlers cutting a mic spot, exposing drug and alcohol addictions all inhabitions go out the fricken window. IMO.

No idea about the Orton thing... well spotted if so though. I didn't really notice. I tend to tune out when Bischoff talks.

I think orton said it in a "i`ll sort you out down the line" way rather than meaning later in the show

I can't see Batista as anything but a foil. I don't recall them having any long-term champ in recent times without mic skills. Pat Paterson's departure supposedly means Orton is not gonna be the new standard bearer, so I'm afraid we'll be seeing more of HHH.
