To me, WWF 1993 - 1997 was the Dark Ages... not passing judgement, but Superstars got cancelled near where I lived, and I didn't have cable, so the TV stayed dark, hence the name. But I hear I came back at the right time anyway.
Anyways, I missed much of Nash WWF reigns. I know he was champion for a while, but what kind of legacy would he really have had if he had retired earlier? Would he even have been Hall of Fame material (for whatever that's worth). He is definitely below HBK and Bret Hart, but would he even compare to a Sid Justice? What does everyone think?
I think he should have retired shortly after being the first person to beat Goldberg. So like 98.

I think Nash's legacy was built more in WCW than the WWF. Being a part of and founding member of the NWO was important to the history of wrestling, considering that was probably the greatest storyline in the history of wrestling.
Compare this to his WWF reign, where he was champion for about a year, and i cant remember a single feud he had, except for when he beat HBK at WM11

I agree with Mister D. When I think of Nash, its all NWO stuff. I dont recall much about Deisel other than him being buddy buddy with HBK then eventually fueding with him . Not main event stuff IMO.
Lou if you missed the whole NWO angle then you missed out on some REALLY good stuff wrestling wise. You should be able to pick up some DVD's somewhere.

I thought it was kind of a jog, but it could have been a walk.
Anyway, another memory of Nash for me was when he was fighting The Hitman and Bret acted like he was hurt, only to sucker the big goof in for the small package and thus the pinfall victory. Big ups Nash!! you are entertaining.
Hmm, I think I will go back and check out one of those DVD's eventually... but is there even an NWO DVD out yet? I have never been a huge fan of Nash's. My feeling is that he was always at the right place at the right time. He's got above average charisma for a WWF "big man", but I would go so far as to say that he wouldn't be where he is today without Shawn Michaels and Scott Hall.
Nash sucks. The only thing he had going for him was the size and power. That's why Diesel worked so well in WWF.
I think Diesel and Razor were seen as the new top guys. Imagine Randy Orton and Bastita leaving all of a sudden.
Anyway, I think he played a pivotal role in wrestling but never actually had much talent.
