What happened to wrestling???

Is it me or is WWE boring as hell now? Generally speaking wrestling has become boring and "vanilla" ever since WCW folded. It's just not the same anymore. There has to be a reason why WWE has lost all of its casual watchers. What happen to the classic story lines and characters? What happen to the Rocks and Stone Colds? Whats to happen when the rest of 2000s' alumi retires. To me WWE just isnt fun to watch anymore? Dont get me wrong theres a few characters that are intersting, but wrestling now is based on technical skills rather than interesting story. What happen to the fun,these days theres nothing to look foward to, who cares about next week.

Yeah, they have all the guys you remember they were fun breaker. From Nash to Hall, Piper, Double J, Macho Man and DDP. They are kinda old now and out of shape, but nothing beats old school lol. I was kidding Steveo dont lose it on me lol. Actually i went to their site and noticed that D-Lo Brown was not on the superstars list. Why??? I thought he was a big player there. He and AJ rocked together.

Watch some mixed martial arts like UFC or Pride. That would be my suggestion.

I haven't watched wrestling for a number of years. It's weird to see Bradshaw as a World Champion and Randy Orton (who?) rip things up. In my opinion, they don't seem to be doing an outstanding job or at least not up to snuff of what a Champ should be.

I think WWE mishandled the purchase of WCW to such a great extent that things are still very confused today. With the "brand extension" and the mixed up champions it's been a disaster.

I personally have no interest in a Smackdown or Raw brand and think the idea is stupid. How can you really build up a great star, a "World" champion when he is only facing half the roster? It's hard to swallow.

You guys are giving him the wrong advice. He said nowadays its all wrestling and no story. TNA and martial arts have even less story and more action than WWE. My advice is to start watching soap operas cause thats the only place with more storyline than WWE.

I complain about the oppisite with WWE. I think there's too many storylines and not enough actual wrestling.

i think the biggest problem is that vince wants a stable of clones. all big guys, short hair, same trunks different colors. that and i don't think they even try to hire writers who care about wrestling... i've seen jv mention that they want writers who are experienced in other areas. the writers need to be fans or what will they care more than getting their paychecks...
tna is great for action (esp x division) but there are almost no storylines, none to care about anyways, and they don't really make you want to cheer for a particular guy, just for the overall match. and now it feels like they're trying to become the dying days of wcw w/ hogan, savage, jarrett, rhodes, wolf pak, etc...
i want good storylines and good wrestling and i want to like or dislike guys for a reason. i've always preferred the heels myself, but i don't want to cheer for a guy just b/c they say he's a heel this month. i'm sure people feel the same way about the faces, who cares about shelton benjamin when they don't do anything w/ him. even guys like jericho who get plenty of ring time seem to me like they're being pushed aside. i don't want to blame hhh for everything, but it can be difficult to watch a raw w/ hhh in 4 or 5 segments or minimum of 20 minutes and not get upset w/ him...

Like the majority of you peeps I find wrestling extremely boring. I get tired of the generic blue tights and short brown hair wrestlers. It's no fun anymore for me to watch I guess. WWE needs to go back to the gimmick days and the stable wars. More surprises as well, I used to love WCW just waiting to see what would happen next.

I loved the crazy WCW angles and storylines. WCW never took itself to serious which kept it fun. WWE wants us to still think wrestlings real lol atleast that's how I feel. I dunno i'm just bored of it and don't even watch eithier show anymore. I just read the results and rumors on rajah.com.

Anyway, If you don't like WWE because of the many wrestlers in the company who can't wrestle then maybe you would like TNA cuz they have a ton of tremendous wrestlers.

But if your looking for great storylines then I guess you'll have to wait for WWE to get more creative. From what I've seen by watching TNA for the last year, they don't have much interest in soap opera sports entertainment. TNA fans are TNA fans because they love wrestling and maybe don't love sports entertainment so much with respect to guys like Stone Cold and The Rock.

I personally like TNA and WWE for what they both have to offer and I don't really sit home and try to compare one with the other
