Okay lets take this Stacy Kiebler arguement to the boards. Having her win the WWE women's title is ludacris. She doesen't deserve it because she's not a wrestler. You guys make a stink cause JBL won the WWE title and he's a wrestler (some think not a good one). Least forget The hubby of Courtney Cox. Allowances shouldn't be made because she appealing to the eye. No one would buy that Johnny Stamboli had what it took to win the top leather cause the WWE female fans thought he looked good. Why should Stacy be any diffrent. Oh I know, "She's got legs!!" Horray for legs!!

The Strange One

From a wrestling standpoint, no, it doesn't make much sense to put the Women's Title on Stacy. But the fact of the matter is that viewers want to see hot women on TV, and the best reason (or excuse) to have Stacy on TV is if she's in a wrestling capacity. Yes, Molly can wrestle circles around poor Stacy, in reality. Honestly, though, most viewers couldn't give a crap about that anyway. They want T&A, and unfortunately for Molly, as attractive as she may be, does not fit the bill.

Comparing the Women's Title to ANY other title (especially the World/WWE) is comparing "apples" to "oranges." People actually give a damn about who the World Champ is but none of my friends ever ask, "hey, who's the Women's Champ?"

Furthermore, if WWE wanted that belt to mean something, then they wouldn't have done things like temporarily retire it or give it to Stephanie McMahon for several months. Arguing about the Women's title is much ado about nothing. Its a matter that only wrestling "purists" would concern themselves with.

I think they are trying to elevate it by putting it on Trish. Granted, Stacy does produce pops, but how much would it hurt Trish to lose the title to Stacy.

It would be a terrible move for the division, but I understand why they may consider it. I think Trish is every bit as capable of drawing ratings as Stacy is though.

I don't think they put the belt on Trish to "elevate" the belt, I think its used more as a "prop" for her heel persona.

I agree that Trish can draw but she can't wrestle with herself. (Although, I'd pay to watch her try!) She needs a popular babyface to compete against. The only female who gets consistently strong pops is Stacy. I think Victoria is a good combo of looks/skill but they don't seem to know in what direction to push her. I thought Ivory had good technical ability and looks but now she's gone.

And lets be realistic, when we speak about "women" drawing, its not even comparable to the male talent. WWE has more hotties now than they did during the Attitude era, but the PPV buyrates and ratings were substantially higher. I, personally, didn't go to live shows in the 90's to see Sable, Sunny, or Terri. I went to see stars like Austin, Rock, DX, and Foley.

As I stated earlier, the average viewer doesn't care about the women's division. I usually TiVO Raw and Smackdown and ordinarily fast-forward past the women's matches and promos. The mat skills of the females are aweful (Trish excluded) and I cringe everytime Lita, Stacy, or any other female (Trish excluded) picks up a mic.

In fact, they could probably scrap the women's division completely and go back to having dancers like Nitro, and get better ratings. I also think it would give more valuable TV time to the under-card talent who are developing.

More than likley, you are right, but it's so dishonerable and hypicritcal to treat the woman's title like that. After Medusa chucked the original belt in the trash, they were on the right track to a great second genesis. They had Jaquline, Tori, Ivory, Luna, Lita and Chyna. Even Moolah, while is a relic, helped because her name is a legend in the buissness. But WWE couldn't see past the body which, may bring in the horney guy factor, but in the long run won't make the women's title credible. I'm okay with a little T&A now and then, but when it starts winning you titles, somthing's wrong.

I think the reason they want to put it on Stacy is that they're running out of "new" champions. All the women in the division except for Stacy and Nidia, haven't had a title run. Maybe they want to keep it on Trish until Lita "can be able to wrestle," don't know really about that either. So, they need to pick someone who is popular with the fans and Stacy unfortunately is more popular than Nidia, despite the fact that Nidia can actually wrestle. The sad part is, putting it on Stacy will make the division lose whatever little credibility it already has.

That was quite possibly the most pathetic thing I have ever read on this board. Not only were you comments completely off the mark, but apparently no one informed you of some basic language tools. Such as something called a comma, or how about a period? English classes are offered for people like you.

Anyways, you really should try justifying the comments you make. No one cares about the Women’s Division. Truthfully it happens to be on my favourite parts of the show, and this is coming from a female. I would much rather watch a women’s match than say, a match involving the Big Show.

Like Hellkat mentioned, T and A is fine. I have no issues with it. It is also fine that you do not enjoy watching it. WWE usually hires females who are both attractive and can work a decent match. Stacy is the obvious exception, and I am just questioning the motion to put the belt on her, if they choose to do so.

Please come back and justify your comments. Explain to me who this group you call ‘everyone’ is, and are these matches the only ones you fast forward through? Or are there others?

I know, people have the right to care and not care, but how do you expect somthing to get better if you don't? If they give a non-wrestling woman the title for her looks (ala Test's girlfreind), they make the title look like more of a joke than it is (cause of airheads like Debra, Sable and Faublus Methuselah who is way past her prime destpite her fame).

You wonder why no one outside of wrestling circles takes WWE seriously anymore, this is partly why, they foucs too much on sex and not enough on fixing the division. The way the WWE encourages some of the divas to act is also cutting into the female demogaphic because they hate that woman there act so sluty. Plus the little kid demogaphic who used to watch the WWE way back when can't to it anymore, because it's so racey (it's not the only reason, but it's one of the biggest). A good entertainment show knows hop to appeal to everyone (The Price is Right and Survivor are great examples).

Besides if Stacy won, do you actully think that the ratings will improve? Maybe, but I doubt it and even so not by too much.

Well that has got to be the biggest load of crap I have ever read. See there are many fans of the wwe. Some who like all wrestling, some who like story lines, some who like backstage antics, some who like TnA,some who like Diva Dodgeball matches, some who like Stacy as the Womans Champion. We all have our opinion so no matter what you say she is going to be Champion. I personally think Stacy would make a great Womans Champ. No she doesn't have near the talent as Trish, Molly or gail does but she has better skills than a Miss jackie,Chyna,Steph etc. Im sick of seeing her as "eye candy" it is deplorable and tasteless. Stacy needs to be in the ring more and stop bending over the ring for horny freaks that take pictures of her panties as she is bending over,sick. I am a huge Stacy fan and think if you all gave her a chance she will improve. For all of your information it was Molly's idea to job to Stacy and elevate her. Trish will not be pinned by Stacy and lose the Title, Stacy will win the Title at Taboo Tuesday by eliminating Molly over the top rope. So please stop saying Stacy doesn't deserve the Title and that fans only care about male wrestling, because this man cares more about the Divas than the males. Just like my New england Patriots beating the crap out of Miami Dolphins tomorrow stacy will beat the crap out of Molly or Trish. You heard it here first.
