"The One"

If WWE were to merge Raw and SD!, what wrestler would you pick to be "the one" to lead the whole WWE as champ and into the future?

Ya think? I dunno, I can't see him fitting that roll. Only one that comes to my mind other then HHH is and Orton. Maybe a few others in time. I have some in mind like Christian if he were to get over more and Taker for a bit then step aside for someone younger.

The Rap gimmick is what got him over. The problem is that hes playing to the crowd ala Tito Santana and that is what people dont like. Randy Orton might suffer the same fate. As far as who would lead the company if they were to merge, a 100% Kurt Angle would be my choice.

Well John Cena's a definately no.

Randy Orton the same thing.

Kurt Angle definately could, but he seems to have a knack for getting hurt. And as much as people like him heel or face, lately his character has been a little bit too extreme for the top guy.

Triple H has too much of a bad history with the belt as of late, so we won't give him the responsibility of leading the company.

Eddie Guerrero has that flash and the edge with his in-ring skill and his ability on the mic that make people love him, heel or face. He's willing to put people over, and comes off as a strong leader for the company.

I think Orton has a presence about him that has leader written all over him. He certially must know a lot about the business and what do to get on top and do it fast. He is not a Brock or Goldberg who got handed the belt because he is big. Orton got it from hard work and being very talented.

Eddie is very talented but He just doesn't seem like the leader type. Kurt on the other hand, does have that certian something that he could use to carry the WWE. He would just need to stay healthy.

Cena is lacking something right now that is keeping him from being the top guy. he needs to break out of the rapper gig for a while to see what else he can do with his character.

Im inclined to agree with Ida on this...

I think Undertaker would be great short term, and to pass the torch onto someone like Orton. Orton just feels like the kind of wrestler on the rise to legit main event stature style matches, and he's just about to break through that glass ceiling into superstardom. He has the same feel that guys like Rock and HHH did while feuding over the IC belt, which is exactly what I think WWE were trying to do with him and Edge. Orton, if he ups his game, could be great.

I dont think Orton can become as huge as his potential unless he freshens up. The gimmick he's using has run its course and he needs work before being able to step up to the plate. His ringwork is really good but the whole persona that goes with it doesnt work anymore (for me).

Christian i've always seen as more talented than Edge, and when Edge was on the cusp of main eventing during his whole KOTR win and subsequent feud with Angle, I felt bad for him. Hes got the stick skills, the ringwork (which we havent seen for a while, but during '99 he wrestled really well). You feel as though WWE is really going through the transition phase that everyone said it was supposed to be going through a couple of years back.

Absolutely agreed about Orton in a couple of years. He still doesn't have that leader type feeling. Perhaps its his recent face crap that makes it seem that way. But if the brands were reunited tomorrow, I think should take it.

Like Ida said about Orton, Eddie also got over on his own skills, being very talented. He beat Brock for the title and took over Smackdown for a while. If given the opportunity he absolutely will excel. Look who he's currently fueding with; another person who could potentially be the leader.

Remember the night of the Raw-Smackdown trade, the main event was Triple H against Eddie Guerrero. As intimidating as Triple H is, I didn't feel for one second that Eddie didn't have it took to be in there with The Game. He more than represented his brand that night, he looked like a leader.

Yes, Eddie has what it takes to be champ and a main eventer but to lead the whole WWE, I dunno. Turn him heel and I feel like that would all change. Now keep in mind what I am talking about here, doesn't have to mean the person should be face. As a heel, I just don't see Eddie being the leader type.

Someone who I do think could give it a go is Booker. I am becoming a fan of his more and more every week. He seems to be in the stage where HHH was years ago. But in Bookers case, he is given more credit for his talent than HHH was back then. Booker doesn't ALWAYS have to cheat to win. I just hope he gets a bump up to main event when he loses the belt. he could carry the WWE if called apon I believe.
