I'm surprised no one has really touched on this yet; how do you guys feel about Theodore Long's announcement about re-signing Big Show two weeks ago on Smackdown?
With Long being such a babyface, I really wouldn't mind seeing Big Show return as a babyface as well. He'd defintely be able to be booked in a working program against Luther Reigns/Kurt Angle, given the storyline before Big Show left for a few months.
I'd defintely smell an eventual turn though, which he'd side with JBL as the "hired muscle" of his organization. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Johnny "The Bull" fill that role either. Didn't think I'd hear myself say it, but I'm actually looking forward to Paul Wight's return to the ring.

Steveo said something in the live Raw thread that i think was in jest, but i actually agree with: Smackdown might be picking up steam.
I'll tie everything in with the topic of the thread throught the post. Bear with me
At the top of the Smackdown card, you have Taker, Angle, and Guerrero, all solid competitors/draws.
JBL, as rushed as his push was, has done a great job with his character and should continue to be entertaining even after he loses the belt (probably/hopefully at No Mercy). Plus, they finally gave Orlando Jordan a character and a reason for us to care about him
I heard that RVD is going to fight Kenzo Suzuki at No Mercy and they're gonna let them go all-out, which might light a fire under RVD's ass
John Cena is probably right up there with Taker and Eddie as far as crowd responses. His act has gotten a little stale, but hopefully he'll be able to find his groove.
Booker is a solid upper midcard performer. nothing spectacular, but when he's on PPV you dont find yourself saying "what the hell is he doing on the card?" like Bob Holly or Billy Gunn.
Rey-Rey and Chavo have solidified the cruiserweight division, as has Kidman and London's title reign.
Then, you've got some new guys with potential like Haas and Luther Reigns.
Teddy Long as GM is great. much better than angle. hollaholllaholla
And finally, Big Show is back. He gives them one more upper-level name that you can put into a feud that won't make people go "Huh???". Plus, they can bring him in as a face as a foil for Angle
So, No Mercy is shaping up to look something like this:
WWE Title: Taker vs. JBL in a gimmick match
Angle vs. Big Show
Eddie vs. Luther Reigns
US title Best of 5 Final: John Cena vs. Booker T
Cruiserweight title: Spike vs. Rey
Tag-Titles (possibly a tables/ladder match): Dudleys vs. Kidman and London
RVD vs. Kenzo Suzuki
Not an incredible card, but each match has at least one wrestler that the fans actually care about (no Mordecai/Holly or Suzuki/Gunn matches), and thats 7 matches without the obligatory T&A match, which hopefully will become a rarity now.
I think Smackdown is on the way up, and getting Big Show back helps
Mister D - Assuming Show is back by then, I'd agree with that line-up, except I'd expect Angle & Eddie to have a gimmicked rematch, with Show going up against Luter Reigns. You know how Vince loves his big men, and I think that'd prove to be a pretty hot match up.

whoops. yeah, thats what i meant. i changed it in my previous post
I will be in attendance for No Mercy, so hopefully its a pretty good card. Hopefully Taker will win. They tend to give us title changes whenever they come to the NY area for PPV (Benoit at WMXX, HBK at Survivor Series 2002, Brock at Summerslam 2002), so thats a good sign
Its at Continental Airlines Arena in NJ (where the Nets and Devils play), just outside of NYC. The date is Oct 3. Pretty good seats are still available
Actually, the last show I went to there (King of the Ring 2001) had a really bad crowd. So if we suck, i apologize in advance
