This thread should be about the show. not the crowd. Its really not important.
Lol you were the one who brought up the crowd in the first place. I don't have to watch it. Umm, I was there and already said it was bizzare. There were obviously many chants you didn't hear that made a lot of sense. It was just the fans who liked one more then the other challenging the chants.
Stop acting like there is some sort of set of rules that you have to follow as a fan when there live lol.
I know the guy you were talking about,he was a dumbass.
From being there myself, overall it was a very entertaining show, in the ring and out. The crowd was hot the whole time. Granted it went a little quiet during the JBL/Taker match, that prompted the wave (pissed myself laughing) and the drunken fan dancing on the gimmicked limo, but I have to say I had fun and didn't regret shelling the cash for the ticket.
I sent an HOLT report to JV this morning, so he might post it sooner or later.
The Wave wasn't the only thing the crowd did. Toronto is usually rabid, but frequently sat on their hands when they weren't a) Booing hometown boy Edge. b) Chanting “Eugene Sucks” or. c) Chanting “Virgil” at Orlando Jordan or “Spanish Announce Table,” which at first sounded like “We Want Sable.”
=======================================
It looks like my Virgil chant didn't go un noticed lol.
I thought the Undertaker should have won the title on priciple alone. JBL just isnt doing it for me as champ. Have people chase Taker and have him lose at WM.
I was actually suprised when Orton got the 123. His finisher is right up there with the Stunner, Rock Bottom and Pedigree. I love how it comes out of nowhere. That was a really good match
Props to Chris Benoit doing whats best for the WWE right now. He seemed pretty choked up about losing the title.
Ric Flair seemed to get the biggest pop of the night. lol. Doesnt he always lately?
I felt bad for Eugene in that match. I wanted him to lose the gimmick right there and then. They need to do something. I have a feeling Eugene wont be hearing many cheers anymore.

It's about time......now bring on his next fued....
Alright I know I said enough about the crowd, but check out this that JV posted on the home page
Those of you who watched the WWE SummerSlam event on PPV probably noticed that The Undertaker looked visibly upset and unimpressed with the live fans in Toronto during his match with John Bradshaw Layfield. The crowd, seemingly disinterested in the match, chose instead to do the Wave, and to watch a fan jump the barricade and run across the top of Layfield's limousine while trying to outrun security. The scene made the match difficult to watch on television, as the people would react (to outside events) when nothing was happening in the ring, then not react for a big spot in the bout. Taker was said to be irate after the match and expressed his frustration backstage.
Another individual said to be upset with his treatment from the fans was Edge. One of the few remaining Canadians on the WWE roster who is still introduced as being from Canada, Edge was booed throughout his match against Chris Jericho and Batista, and while it appeared that Edge was rolling with it (by, for example, showing no emotion after winning), he was in reality taken aback by the response and, like The Undertaker, expressed his frustration backstage after his match.
So put that in your pipe and smoke it. :rasp:
It's about time......now bring on his next fued....
I have seen crowds reacting to other things MANY times and then not react to what is going on in the ring.
Edge gets boos everywhere and he come across as a heel even when being a face. We were cheering for Y2J as it should have been anyway.
Make up your mind, you bring up the crowd in the first place, then say enough, then bring it up again lol.
Backstage News: Edge & Undertaker Furious With Summerslam
Reported by Ben Johnson (headline planet.com
Both Edge and Undertaker were furious backstage after suffering disappointing crowd reactions in their respective matches, reports PWInsider.com.
Edge, who wrestled in front of his hometown as a face, was booed in his match with Chris Jericho and Batista. In fact, many fans even chose Batista over Edge when the two faced off in the ring. No one backstage could explain the heel heat Edge received.
As for Undertaker, he was very upset that the crowd started the wave and "Spanish Table" chants out of boredom, but most backstage felt the crowd's lack of interest was justified. Inside sources felt the Taker/JBL match was not built up very well at all, with Undertaker and the champion interacting very little before the match. Additionally, JBL has really only been put over by Eddie Guerrero, so it is still hard to view him as a champion.
Toronto fans are by far the sharpest...Toronto cheers for whos good (Benoit, Bret Hart, Flair etc)....Toronto will never cheer for someone who cant wrestle....Toronto wont stand for crap....Toronto will keep getting PPVs cause they sell out......
And they say it's the foreign man I should fear!
But, it's my own kind doin all the killin' here!!!
Now, as far as the show goes it wasn't lackluster to me. I don't really pay much attention to the live crowd.
does the crowd make a show better sometimes? fine. But it doesn't really bother me either way. Fuck the crowd they can act retarded if they choose.
As far as the matches go:
6 man tag: a lot of action, better than I expected.
Cena vs. Booker: who gives a shit about the 1st match in the series.
I.C. Title: Should have been longer, but I don't really like Edge so whatever. Batista is pretty cool and Y2J is a god, but Edge I just don't care for.
Kane vs. Matt: good job by Hardy, I hope this angle ends soon.
Eugene vs. Triple H: I wasn't impressed, nor did I expect to be. End the Eugene gimmick now.
Angle vs. Eddie: I loved it. not 5 Star material, but really good.
Diva shit: where was Carmella? if she doesn't want to be in the WWE I won't be mad at her, it isn't for everyone. If I was her I'd Just pack my bags and let someone who cares win. Well, I don't know it is $250K. :o
Taker vs. JBL: pretty good if you look at who was in the ring. Now JBL needs a feud with an accomplished mat technician, and ditto for Taker.
Orton vs. Benoit: I loved this too. Orton winning the title might be a little too soon, but I loved the RKO out of nowhere and Benoit is just awesome in every match he is in.
Oh, and to whoever brought up last year's Elimination Chamber match. That fuckin sucked. I don't know how you could have liked Goldberg dominating legends like they were nothing and with Triple's injury he couldn't wrestle in the match for more than 5 minutes.
