| Benoit's push was good up until the match with Shawn Michaels. After that match, RAW has been dominated by Triple H, Randy Orton and Eugene. Benoit is playing second or third fiddle since then. Even the match at Vengenance and the Ironman match didn't help Benoit, because it was all about Triple H and Eugene. Benoit gets no promo time, no angles, nothing. His opponents are just hand-picked with no story behind it. It's a shame because Benoit has been a good champ, but the belt has been de-valued in the last few months in my opinion by not making Benoit more of a focal point on the show.
My guess is he'll drop the title at Survivor Series, and we'll have to see what happens to him after that. He can either stay at the top, or fall back to where he was in mid-2003.
