I dont know if Jimmy reads much of the forum these days.. or if he bothers to read any other part of the board unless he is looking for materiail for his main page.. but This board NEEDS the input of JV. People respect his viewpoint and read his reports.. Why cant some of those reports be posted here in the Wrestling Forum?

I know JV's concern for this forum has been non existent in recent years, But christ, it wouldt hurt to post the odd review or report here once in a while to get some tongues wagging.

The indians have tried their damndest to get this place going.. its time for the Chief to make a little effort.

No offence JV but you tend to give the impression that you look down on us somewhat. Break out of your shell and loosen up a bit and come be part of the forum to get people more active with it. It never hurts to seem less impersonal and let your readers get to know you a little.

Yes, agreed. Not for nothing but we do more promoting of this site than you may believe. We are prolly responsible for quite a bit of the traffic that comes to this site. I have been coming here to KYN since jimmyvan.com and just joined the forum last year sometime, but its all good in the hood.

You're all right in that I don't post that often here, but it has nothing to do with looking down on the Forum or thinking I'm "better" than the Forum. It's purely a time issue.

In case you haven't noticed, I primarily only update the main areas of the site once a day now, because I'm typically only able to free up time once a day for the site. And unlike Dave Meltzer, who has Bryan Alvarez to cover for him, or Dave Scherer who has a whole troop of east coast lackies at his beck and call, it's all me when it comes to maintaining the site. Miakal and Jamie Bouchie help out by administering the Forum, and Terry Myers helps out with IT issues, but otherwise it's a one-man show here. I organize the daily news items for posting, I update the interactive games and other features, I do the Raw and PPV reviews (and *would* do SmackDown! reviews if not for the fact that my Thursdays are rarely free), I work with advertisers and ensure their traffic delivers, I coordinate prize item contributions with sponsors for the prize contests. It can be a full-time job in itself sometimes, and it was for a long time before the dot-com economy crashed. But now, I do it on top of working a full day for a major media company, and somehow I manage to juggle relationships and friendships with it all.

For several months, I've had a web designer working on a new design for this site. It's been a slow process for him because quite frankly, he's a friend and so he's doing the new design for next to nothing as a favour to me, working on it in his off-hours. When the new site is done (and I don't have a timeline for it), it'll enable me to post updates much more easily. Right now, I update the main pages on the site by hand and upload them individually. The new site will have an automated online posting feature, meaning I'll be able to update the main areas similar to how you guys post messages here on the Forum. That means I'll be able to quickly and easily post updates from other locations aside from my office, and it should result in more and faster updates, not to mention more time for other things, like activity in the Forum.

In the meantime, I come here when I can, and try to at least monitor things every couple of days, but I apologize if I'm not being as proactive as you'd like.

Jv, I dont know how easy it would be to utilize but, have you ever heard of the program "You speak, it types" Basically you just speak into the microphone and it stypes it right out onto Microsoft Word, then just copy and paste it to your site, you may save a ton of time doing it that way.

I totally understand your lack of time issue. I happen to have a job that enables me to sit in front of a computer for hours with plenty of down time, thus my 3000+ posts. If I didnt have this job with all this free time, I would prolly have like 300 posts.

I would also suggest that you may be wasting your time with all the interactive games and other stuff.

People come to your site to read your Raw (and when you do them SD) reviews, plus any other news that you may have.

I know I personally dont look at most of the other stuff on your site ever, except the home page with all the news and reviews that you post.

I would reckon that if you just did a Raw and SD review plus other news and notes that you would be just fine, especially if the other stuff takes so long to do.

All in all, you do a fantastic job on the site and shouldnt think we are talking smack, we just want to feel special. :blushes:

Thanks for responding, but all of that is no excuse for not looking like you don't have a life and posting here as often as we do lol.

PS: Your responces always sound so political. Do you plan on running for office in the future?
