Live Audio Wrestling
Crappy radio show and pretty crappy site, but they sometimes have interviews and stuff. 90% of the discussion is on the WWE by the moron hosts. Mainly C/P from the Observer with maybe 1/20 news items being original.

Between the Ropes
Much better radio show than the LAW, often have guests from WWE (Foley, HBK, Cornette and Flair were recent big names) and they archive their show for at least a week so you don't have to listen live. They are IMO much funnier and more enjoyable to listen to than the LAW.

Dave Meltzer has been doing this since the early 80s. Hes the guy the put out those dirt sheets that Foley and the others talk about in their books. One of the most knowledgeable guys in the business, hes interviewed lots of stars and knows his stuff. His radio show is awsome I've been listening for a long time.

Ya but the point is that Hart actually has talked to Meltzer about these things and cleared the air about inaccuracies. The reason Meltzer is the man, is because he is so well respected in the business that when he does say something wrong Bret Hart will actually call him up and correct him. Hes interviewed Falir, Foley, Hogan and anyone who has ever been or will be anyone. Hart also says in his article that Meltzer with help from all involved has written the most in depth and accurate account of the Montreal screwjob. Its on Hart's website. And just think about this, where did Hart send his letter about Flair? To Dave Meltzer himself. Thats where everyone has been copying and pasting it from since it went up today. Dave Meltzer is not some pimply faced 17 year old kid who writes his opinions on his website and everyone believes them to be true. People listen to Meltzer cause he knows his stuff.

Jimmy Van prides himself on reporting newsworthy items from inside sources within the biz, but I still take everything thats said with a pinch of salt.

WWE themselves now acknowledge lots of news stories when they arent directly storyline related so newsboards kinda travel slow with information. The fact theres only really one major fed I guess has contributed to the fact that less 'news' makes it to us.

Dave Meltzer is respected only as a journalist that works on the inside of the biz. Hes still a journalist at the end of the day and its his professional integrity that is at stake if he chooses to print something untrue or puts spin on it that isnt the whole truth. Like Ida said, he still wants to grab headlines like any other journo. Him having contacts on the inside just means that wrestlers can use him as part of their hype machine.

Hart said it himself in the retort to Flair, a wrestler has to hype themselves to sell and get over, and thats what Meltzer is good for.
