Anyone else watch this? The opening round of musical chairs to decide a title shot was something you would have expected to see on Nitro in it's dying days.

Eugene as GM was funny, his office looked like fun also.

Kane vs Batista (heel vs heel) was a weird match to book, course so is La Resistance vs Eugene and Ric Flair at Vengeance. On a side note, why did the Winnipeg fans boo La Resistance. Canadians are suppose to cheer for wrestlers that WWE doesn't want them to cheer for. La Resistance are Canadians too, after all.

Jericho vs Orton was a solid match until that screwball ending. You knew Jericho wasn't winning it anyways because that would mess up Vengeance, but they could have came up with a better ending than that.

WWE has no idea what to do with Rhyno, giving him a new tag partner every week in an attempt to win the tag titles. They did that with someone before and they are no longer in WWE, so heads up to Rhyno.

Trish must really be a bitch in real life because, man, she plays the role perfectly.

My thoughts:

i thought the opening was a fun way to open the show. i liked how most of the wrestlers initially balked at the idea...after all, they're all too big and macho to play musical chairs. Then, once the music stopped, and the title shot was up for grabs, they all rushed for the empty seats.

Trish's "and they call me a slut" line was great.

Orton-Jericho was good. Too bad for the screwjob ending. It also would have been cool if they had given the Jericho the belt, despite the booking for Vengeance. Something like that might have happened in the old "Anything can happen in WWE" days, but not during this predictable era in wrestling. Maybe they could have kept the Jeericho-Batista and Edge-Orton matches, but just switched the title match to Jericho-Batista

The main event was good too. It was cool how Eugene's naivete, innocence, and conscience conflicted with his adoration of HHH. Also, did anyone notice that Ric Flair was doing Eugene's "retard clap" after Eugene "did the right thing" by hitting Benoit? I thought that was hysterical

Usually when a heel is performing in their hometown/ home country, they air a backstage promo during the commercial break ripping said town/country. they probably did that with La Resistance.

Remember how awesome Rhyno was when he first debuted? Remember Paul E. yelling "GORE! GORE! GORE!". Remember the hardcore match he had with Raven that stole the show at Backlash 2001? Too bad he cant do anything worthwhile anymore

RAW was not that great. Jericho got a great response (hope you were listening, Vince), as did Benoit, and guess what? They both lost! Ridiculous. I understand not wanting to take the title off of Orton, but the finish was terrible. Have Jericho win by DQ or something.
The Eugene storyline is starting to backfire. He was booed pretty much from the beginning of the show. I know this is a slow-developing storyline, but they're booking Eugene too much like a heel, and the fans have turned against him. If WWE doesn't fix things, then no one will care when Eugene wakes up and turns against Evolution.
Rhyno should've stayed on Smackdown! if this is all they have for him on RAW. I don't get it, he's big, can work and the fans respond to him. Give him a push like WWE did in '01 and you'll see good results. Rhyno could be a good asset for WWE, but they give him crap. At least he wasn't the one getting pinned the past two weeks.

I guaruntee that they will have it so that Eugene was a part of Evolution from the get go and he isnt even handi/slow. It was just a way to help HHH get the title back and for Eugene to get into a top notch stable.


Just watch. Maybe even at VEngence. (even though Vince will milk this forever and make it at SummerSlam) Mark My Words.

Since he's supposed to be Bischoffs nephew, wouldn't that mean that he had to be in on it? If that's the case, and the plan was to help HHH get the title back, why wouldn't Bischoff just name him number one contender?
