Wrestling Channel - Thoughts?

Well, it's been around for a few months, what do you think?

I love the shoot interviews - I've seen them all I think - I have clear memories of the Road Warriors, Shawn Michaels, Goldust, Rey Mysterio Jr, Jeff Hardy and (my favourite interview) Raven, who seemed an interesting guy. I think I've seen others, but I can't remember them now.

They're the highlight of the whole channel, but the NWA:TNA shows are cool too (We're behind though.. by several months) and I must say, I wish the WWE could sign AJ Styles, and resign Raven.. they both would have a lot to add to the Smackdown! brand.. Raven especially.

The Ring of Honour stuff is usually good, but I can't hack the Japanese Supercard shows.. the JR-esque Japanese announcer who consistently yells I can do without.

Jody Fleish is great too in the FWA (I think) - sign him, Vincent, and put him up against Chavo and Rey Rey.

You got any thoughts?

I agree on pretty much everything. I hate the FWA theme tune though, and the wrestler vignettes can get annoying at times (I mean the ones that air in the ad breaks), minor gripe though.

'The Phoenix' Jody Fleisch looks pretty good, and AJ Styles is amazing. I really like most of the TNA 'X-Division' and the Ultimate X match there both times has been really good. I cant understand why WWE didnt keep talent like Chris Daniels and Low Ki (although Low Ki has one of the most crappy catchphrases in history ) and Julio Dinero (who wrestled a few dark matches as Julio Fantastico in WWE if my memory serves me correctly, before he moved to ECW and formed Hot Commodity) with CM Punk in The Gathering look like perfect hardworking undercard/low midcard material. They remind me of the Brood back in '99. I find myself wanting to watch TNA more than I do WWE right now

Theres a good variety of shows all over the Wrestling Channel. Feds like the FWA, TNA, 3PW, RoH and the old jap stuff from NJPW give us lots of material to watch. I hear they also show CZW stuff but ive never seen any on the channel (I tend to watch during the day). Good channel

Yep, I agree that many of the vignettes on the shows (Pretty much all of them) pale in comparison to some of the WWE ones, but that's not surprising. WWE has high production values in the technology department, in regards to visuals and sound. Plus generally their stars are better on the mic, so backstage segments are usually (look at the Stacy/Lita/Matt ones, yeesh) better too.

AJ is fast becoming one of my all time favourites, he's phenomonal. I love that "Splat them on their front" finisher, can't remember the name.

I think the CZW stuff is either late at night or early (6 kinda time) in the morning, so it may be that's why you've missed it.

TNA and ROH rock, but I still love the shoot interviews most.. Raven, you rock, buddy!

The Styles Clash (which is a cool name for a finisher)!

I've only watched the channel the once, at my brothers house, and the match I was watching was CZW. We were having dinner there, so it must have been around 5.30 - 6.30
