| The fact that Chris Benoit is the Champion, yet HHH remains the focus of the show. The fact that Smackdown is treated like shit and is virtually unwatchable these days. The fact that there are just too many damn PPVs a year and not enough storylines and feuds to warrant the amount of PPVs | ||||||||||||||

| The overall downward direction of both shows. Crappy matches being hailed as CLassics or great matches of our time because if JR says it enough people will start to believe it. I guess nothing has really excited me since wrestlemania Its gotten boring. | |||||||||||||||

The big thing that made WWE so successful in the late 90's was the fact that it had a lot of storylines and feuds that carried longer than until the next PPV. They achieved a lot of this through the use of stables. Nowadays, there are entirely too many PPVs vs. storylines, primarily due to a lack of stables to make storylines progress naturally. I think that, while this is kind of an easy way out, going back to a system of stables vs. stables would be beneficial from a storyline standpoint. A person from one stable who feuds with a person from another stable can easily transition his feud to a stablemate of his opponent without much added storyline. Now, with a lot of unrelated guys on the rosters, they have to come up with a reason for the guys to feud - some are good, some suck, and some are non-existent but happen anyway. I'm not saying that *everyone* should be in a stable like it seemed to be back then, because that gets out of control, but a few solid stables can help to make things more interesting. Think about it: Evolution is one of the highlights of Raw, but they have no protagonist stable to feud with them. They need a stable of faces to challenge their power, which can lead to several combinations of matches in a fight for supremacy on Raw. As for Smackdown, they'd have to do a heck of a lot more with characters over there for it to work, but it needs something interesting badly, because it's getting more and more missable every week. Now, the complicated solution would be not to necessarily have a lot of stables (though a few are good), but to actually write a storyline for every character that they're pushing at the time. This requires a lot of effort and allows for a big margin of error in judgment, but it would make for more compelling TV. But, let's face it, that won't happen, so the best I'm hoping for is the return of stables. We'll see what happens. | ||||||||||||||||

| JBL not being canned after his actions in Germany. I feel really strongly about that, the Germans were amongst the friendliest people I've ever visited when I'm abroad, that was WAY over the line. | ||||||||||||||
