I'm interested in your thoughts on Bad Blood, whether it be certain matches, and/or the overall quality of the show. Tell me what you think, and I may post your comments on the main part of the site.
JV, I was actually at the show and must disagree with your thoughts on the crowd. ;) I'll admit we weren't into everything, but boy were we all trying. When it would get silent, chants would start, or people would start clapping, etc.
It just must have not carried over TV. The Nationwide Arena must not be good for carrying that over.
Overall, I have to say I was pleased with the show. I really enjoyed much of it. There were some slow parts to the World title and HIAC matches, but they were overall enjoyable.
And I must say before I go, it's obvious that Columbus LOVES Benoit.
When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fullfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and be taken as prisoners to all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
...At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
Luke 21:20-28
"Triple H hit a desperation face-buster that sent Michaels to the floor. But HBK grabbed a ladder from under the ring while he was out there and brought it back in. JR called Shawn, "the man that introduced ladders to WWE," but technically it was Bret Hart. Shawn was in the first ladder match with Bret, but it wasn't Shawn's idea"
I may be completely wrong here but wasnt it HBK vs. Razor Ramon in the first ladder match in the WWE?
Also, I didnt watch the PPV, thus no comments on the show.
It's about time......now bring on his next fued....
If you didn't watch the show then why did you critisize me for not liking it? I thought the show was rather boring and nowhere near the level of Backlash. It kinda was like the same event lastyear with a better title match and two better workers in the cell match.
The cell match had entire room of people at my apartment bored to death because it drug on FOREVER. You realize about 15-20 minutes of the match was spent laying on te mat playing dead, I went back and watched it and timed it too. I cannot find anything positive to say about the hell in the cell match. Kane and Benoit proved that they can have a good match on the other hand. I wanna see them go again because it was cool watching Benoit try to put Kane in the submissions.
Just to answer the question about the ladder match; Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon was the first ladder match on WWE PPV, but it wasn't the first ladder match in the company. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels worked a ladder match that was taped for Coliseum Home Video a year or more before the Wrestlemania X match with Michaels and Razor.
I may be completely wrong here but wasnt it HBK vs. Razor Ramon in the first ladder match in the WWE?
Heck, no. Bret and Shawn had a ladder match way before that. I have it here on tape; I don't believe it was a PPV it was just taped for Coliseum Video. That was around 1992, I believe. Bret was still the IC champion at the time.
Because he is right, you are always so negitive with anything to do with wrestling. He has a good point and I second it.

I'd like to see you wrestle a 47 minute hell in the cell and not take any rest periods.
By that rhetoric none of us are capable of criticising anything in wrestling.
I guess we can't criticise any movies or television shows, or bands that we don't like, because I doubt any of us are full time paid actors or musicians.
The man obviously thinks its crap. And that would be a fair statement, because there are quite a few people on this board, who were relatively strong fans to be posting about it, who no longer watch wrestling, myself included.
By what I hear nothing has really changed since we stopped, so I can imagine if it's bad enough to drive away fans in the large numbers they have, for someone who actually bothers to endure the drivel I imagnie it would all seem a lot worse.

I didnt see the PPV, so I cant comment on this particular match, but i remember the HHH vs. HBK last man standing match was exactly the way Steve-O describes this match. It was: One high-impact move, lay on the ground for 2 minutes, repeat. For a half hour. Not good stuff
