Rep Power: 17 | Sting to WWE...likey or hatey? Rumors are running that Sting is interested in working for WWE. As a result of this development, I ask a simple question:
What do you think about the idea of Sting working for WWE? Will it help, hurt, or do nothing for the company?
I've never been a fan so I can live without seeing Sting in WWE.

Rep Power: 6 | I think a Sting and HHH fued would be decent because thats probably what they would go with right away.

Rep Power: 47 | Sting was my favorite WCW wrestler, so i would like to see him in WWE.
From what i heard, hes still in good shape, so it probably wont be a Steiner/Nash situation where a former WCW star comes in, but is in no shape to perform

Rep Power: 6 | Seeing him in TNA he looks exactly the same as he did in his WCW days (im talking around 96-97ish), shape wise im unsure but it doesnt show in the ring. I think his gimmick is good enough for him to make it in WWE if handled right, an Undertaker - Sting match would be cool just to see the clash of gimmicks involved.
I think Sting is the one ex-WCW main eventer i'd actually like to see in WWE right now.
btw, AJ Styles rocks! His finisher is awesome! Just got my sattelite dish sorted out so I can watch some TNA properly, before I was catching webcasts on their website, now its fullscreen gorgeousness and I love it

Rep Power: 7 | On a short term contract, yes. They need main eventers on Smackdown badly, but they need to build up the likes of Cena, Mysterio for the main event, not JBL. | | Past live: The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Placebo, Hank Marvin & The Shadows, Kasabian, Dogs Die In Hot Cars, The Glitterati, The Zutons, Wu-Tang Clan, Starstailor, The Libertines, Muse, Goldie Lookin' Chain, Scissor Sisters, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Wet Wet Wet, The Bravery, PJ Harvey, Kings of Leon, Pixies, Snow Patrol, McFly, Busted, Sucioperro, The Ordinary Boys Alamos, Texas, The Subways, The Boxer Rebellion, Dogs, The Raveonettes, The Proclaimers, Embrace, Annie Lennox, The Thrills, Feeder, Bob Geldof, Faithless, Midge Ure, The Alabama 3, Morning Runner, The Magic Numbers, Keane, The Go! Rep Power: 6 | Bringing in Sting right now would be a good and a bad thing. Lord knows Raw doesn't need any more big names, so they'd have to put him on Smackdown. Looking at Smackdown, their top faces are Eddie, RVD, Taker, Cena, and (recently) Mysterio. Their top heels are JBL and Booker T (since they've lost Kurt & Show to injury and Lesnar to football). I can't see Sting being put over as a heel (though that'd be a refreshing change), and they wouldn't want to put him over Eddie at this point anyhow. So, basically, Sting would either get pushed at the expense of one of the other faces, or have nothing to do.
They could find a way to readjust the rosters, even though the "huge" draft lottery was supposed to do that anyhow. Speaking of which, I really wish that WWE would've kept Edge on Smackdown and turned him heel. He's gotten so bland as a face. I loved the glory days of Edge & Christian - they were entertaining yet heel-like. If they found a way to bring a few Raw guys with heel potential over to Smackdown, then I'd say put Sting on Raw, because Benoit has proven that he can draw in a feud against another face (e.g. HBK). A Sting-Benoit feud would be pretty sweet, IMO.
So, I'm going for the indecisive "nyay" on this one...it could work, but some changes would have to be made to the brands to make it work. | Y2J The King Of The World's Top 5 On... --------------------------------------------------------- TNA 1. Rep Power: 6 | I dont think that they should bring him in. It just doesn’t work. Yes, the crowd knows who sting is, but they cant book him on the coat tails of his WCW career. Bringing a top name in and sticking him in the main event is so short term and they’ve been doing it for the past 2 years. They need to forget the old men and concentrate on building their own stars (which is what got them to the top in the first place). If things keep on like they are, will we even have a WWE in 5 years? Look at the talent that’s coming up, is that really enough to keep us all interested, coz apart from Cena and Orton, its pretty stale. |
Rhyno's #1 mark just layed the smackdown!
