Scott Steiner To Smackdown: A Good Thing Or A Bad Thing?

If this isn't true, the WWE needs to look at salvaging a marketable wrestler by moving him over to the Smackdown roster. Smackdown is lacking any notable heel power right now. With Brock Lesnar headed to the NFL, WWE lost their top heel. Now I know they are out there trying to get us to believe JBL is a serious competitor for the title, but I can't buy it. His new gimmick is great and very fitting for him, but in terms of ring skills, I just don't see it. Big Show is off tv until whenever. So basically we are left with Rene Dupree, who is in competition for the US Title, and Booker T.
Scott Steiner was over HUGE with the crowd when he was initially 'deciding' which show to wrestle for. And Steiner was a dominating force in WCW. If booked properly, he could be the big fish in the little pond on Smackdown. The guy has what it takes IMO to bring Smackdown up a notch, and I'd much rather see him in competition for the title instead of JBL.
On the flip side, I realize there are a lot of people out there that feel his arsenal is limited, or that he is washed up, thanks to being buried by Triple H and then put in an angle with Test.
What do you think?

I think it would be a bad thing. Scott Steiner has proved to be a bad investment for WWE. He was put in a main event program with HHH and was buried for good reason; he sucked in the ring. His matches were criminal to be put on a WWE PPV card, let alone a main event. It amazed me when WWE did actually sign him because although he was a name wrestler and everyone recognised him and he got popped the shit out of when he debuted at Survivor Series of 2002, he wasnt 100% healthy (I know ur gonna say no wrestler ever is, but he was known to have a foot problem that limited his mobility in the ring) and every report of his matches with WWA that I had read said they all sucked. He's a very special heel though, doesnt work for me as a face, and I think they should have booked him as a heel from the moment he stepped into a ring, maybe that would have covered for some of his deficiencies in there, but actual in-ring performance is certifiable wrestle-crap in a main event environment.
