Bradshaws Stock: Buy or Sell

Buy or Sell should have been started with Bradshaw due to his influence in real life and character wise to the stock market, but hell, I went through hell fire and brimestone to deliver the other thread. :?

Now that Brashaw is JLB, wise cracking, down talking self proclaimed Money Master has his characters stock risen or fallen since the days of one half of the Beer Drinking Foul Mouthed Card Playing Tag Team the APA?

I don't follow Smackdown as much as I do Raw, but when I think of Smackdown the first names that come to mind are Eddie, Cena and now JLB.

I find his character refreshing, new and rehashed all at the same time. I see reminders of Irwin R. Schester and Ted DiBiase in the new JBL character but what makes it so good for Bradshaw is the his knowledge of what he speaks.

Bottom Line when Bradshaw comes on the TV I watch now. Before it had become some what ho hum. We shall see if this character and push has the longevity to suceed. Simon says it will.

A Little too early to say yet, but its obvious his career has taken an upswing since the APA. I think it would be better if this thread was revisited after the next PPV where we can see exactly where JBL is going

From what i've seen, the gimmick has been pretty good, although i'm not still not crazy about Bradshaw as an in-ring competitor

The only thing i thought was really stupid was when they had video of him literally chasing Mexicans back across the border

I honestly think its far too early to have him go over Eddie for the belt. But I am not sure you were even implying that. But having him featured in the Main Event for the title is certainly a nice start to a fresh beginning.

Unless hes upped his in ring work in the last 3 months I think the PPV main event will tell us all what we need to know. Good character horrible wrestler. But I'm not even too keen on the whole racist against Mexicans thing its kinda pushing the envelope of good taste.

What I meant was, After the PPV would be a good time to have this discussion so we can see if JBL is going to stay in the main event, or if its just another stop-gap Bob Holly push

I think this answered your question Shango. Lol. I had to bring this thread up again. I was actually looking for a different one but came across this one. Its interesting to read what some people said.

JBL has cut some good promos since his character turn, but I'm still not at the point where I'm ready to plunk down $34.95 to see him get beat up. The only reason being is that he toiled in the midcard for so long. It's different when a guy like Michaels or Bret Hart move up from tag-team to singles competition and get a big push; they have the skills to have good matches, and charimsa and everything else needed. JBL is capable of wrestling a good match, I just don't ever think you're going to see a Match of the Year out of JBL.

I find his character fun to watch, because his character is an extension of who Bradshaw is in real life. That makes a good character, but he does need to knock it off with the minority and foreigner jokes. That's low class.

Like others said, we need to check back with this after Summerslam and see where his character is headed. He's either staying at the top or moving back to the midcard after next month, I have a feeling.
