Could it be possible that Heyman will reunite his old ECW posse and run wild?
He has the Dudleyz that he can come out with now if he isn't left as the temp GM. Maybe they can beat RVD into submission.
Food for thought......
They could work between shows as a rebel stable that is just gathering all their old Heyman workers like Lance Storm and Rhyno and Palumbo. This would be a great way to get away with interpromotional garbage that they are trying to do.
Heyman could become like a cult figure that they all get almost brainwashed by. He would have a point. Not many of the old ECW guys are doing much of anything right now so they could be easily convinced that they are being buried by Vince/Eric/Angle whoever really.
It could work, but it would undermine the whole brand extension to be able to work.
It would be cool to see old tag teams again, bring back Justin Credible(!) and team him with Lance Storm to reform the Impact Players, both will be far more over than they are now. I don't see why the stable would have to stay a face stable to work though (I think thats what ur implying Ida?) I think it would work better has a badass heel stable. Its easier to get over as a heel than a face anyhow.
Linda said in a conference call a few months back that they were gonna turn ECW into a distinct brand, and give it its own show. Maybe this is the start.
It would only work if they gave Heyman full creative control
then, they can bring back some of the guys they let go of, like Raven, Justin Credible, Mike Awesome, etc.
For the love of GOD, leave Justin Credible off the roster. Raven needs to be hired, and it'd need it's own show, which is EXACTLY why Simon's idea is fannnntastic.
As good as that would be, I just don't see it happening. WWE just went to some"extreme" lengths to freshen the brand by trading away Rhyno & Chuck to the RAW brand. Had they stayed on Smackdown, I could really go for this idea. But forming some type of ECW faction, for right now at least, even if it was interpromotional, just wouldn't go over. Let Heyman have a few weeks, maybe even a month or two to gather some heat. But yeah, like I said, establishing that now would undermine the WWE Draft even more than it did when they Heyman pick was wasted (how was it okay for him to do Smackdown if he's "RAW Property") or when Teddy Long was a pick...good god that was awful. Screw Teddy Long & his "Playa's Cards"
You'd better put your clothes back on...before you start puttin pot holes in my lawn...
