Rep Power: 47 | Maybe Brock Lesnar will make the NFL after all On fanball.com (a sports site), they reported that Brock Lesnar ran an incredible 4.65 in the 40-yard dash. To put it in perspective, thats the same time that Maurice Clarett, a running back, ran.
NFL teams are so obsessed with speed these days, theres a chance a team could take a chance on him. Add in his size and strength, and some team has gotta have at least some interest in him.

Rep Power: 24 | To be honest I would love to see him play football. It would be entertaining to watch him on the field.

Rep Power: 10 | Holy crap. A 4.65 for someone his size is unbelievable. With that kind of speed and his size, he could potentially make a pretty good linebacker.

Rep Power: 47 | The site said he's looking to play D-line...probably defensive end, since he'll be able to use his speed better there than at defensive tackle

Rep Power: 5 | The only thing is that Lesnar has NEVER played organized football before, there's alot more to football than just speed and size (which he has PLEANTY of). So I could see him getting signed and have the team trot out their new prospect, but I don't see him ever getting significant playing time.
Honestly, you think the veterans on a football team are going to just step aside for a "fake wrestler" to step in and take their jobs? Veterans help young players develop and a big part of the NFL is learning from the people above you.
I personally hope he fails at the NFL and the WWE tells him where to stick it when he wants to come back. I always thought Lesnar was overrated trash...he sucked on the mic, had NO charisma whatsoever. Then, when everyone in the federation layed down for him (including Hulk FREAKING Hogan!!) he decided he didn't want to play anymore.
Youngest world champion ever, built up as unbeatable superman, squashed almost every midcarder on the roster, and won a main event at WrestleMania........not good enough? Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Brock.

Rep Power: 24 | He has played football before. No one is saying he is gonna be a star player 5 mins after he is on the field. I am sure if he can pick up pro wrestling movies and ring skills (different from amatuer stuff) quickly, I am sure he can learn to play a good game quickly as well.
He decided to do smething different and wanted to be happy. Duh, and why shouldn't he. If you were in some high fame job and you hated it and it made you unhappy, would you stay? if so you would be a fool.
Umm ya and how wrong for Hogan who is like a freakin 180 yrs old lay down to someone up and coming and who was getting a push.
Like I said, Brock didn't come looking for the WWE, the WWE caome looking for HIM!

Rep Power: 47 | Thats another reason why i figured he would want to play D-line instead of linebacker. Linebacker takes a lot more thinking and football knowledge than D-line.
Not that defensive-linemen dont know the game....but linebacker is a critical position, as you have to be able to read the play, know your assignments in pass coverage, etc
As a defensive end, he basically just needs to get to the QB. Maybe they can save him for passing downs, so he doesnt have to worry about stopping the run, and he can just use his athleticism as a pass rusher
As i've said in other threads, i wouldnt be surprised if Brock fails...all i'm saying is that his size, strength, and speed will at least garner SOME interest from NFL teams. Maybe a proactive owner like Al Davis in Oakland would take a chance on him

Rep Power: 5 | I'm just saying that Hogan doesn't put ANYONE over, and he put Brock over. And I understand he was unhappy, but it's very unprofessional to just walk out, especially to announce it right before the biggest show of all time (WMXX).

Rep Power: 24 | I suppose but ya have to do what ya have to do. Brock has to make sure Brock comes first when it comes to things like that. You have to admit, he did try and make it work by buying a jet to try and making it easier on himself.

Rep Power: 6 | In the 2002 NFL draft, Julius Peppers (6ft6", 283)went second overall and his size & stats are pretty comparable to Brock's.
Bench: Peppers = 26, Brock = 30
verticle: Peppers = 36.5", Brock = 35"
broad: Peppers = 10ft5", Brock = 10ft
40: Peppers = 4.69 & 4.71, Brock = 4.65
So based on stats alone, he's up there with the best guys coming into the NFL. It's the experience and how big of a learning curve he'll have, that will be the big questions.
that was posted on a CFL football site that i visit regularly. Lesna definately has the physical tools to play, but the only question is how well he can handle the mental part of the game.[/quote]
