More Managers and Valets.

I feel the WWE needs to incorporate more managers and valets for their underused/underexposed WWE superstars.

How many rookies or guys that can't get over would benefit from a loud mouth, well spoken manager, or some long legged vixen?

Stacy Kiebler and Torrie Wilson USED to be used for this purpose, but seem to have branced off into their own things.

I know for sure that some wrestling schools specialize in teaching managing. Now is the time for the 2004 version of Bobby the Brain, Jimmy Hart and others. Superstars that can't get over by themselves would be helped tremendously by this.

Maybe even JV could get a job as a manager. Or even Simon........ (well I applied but haven't heard back )

It's about time......now bring on his next fued....

I was just thinking about that because of all those athletic wrestlers with a lacking "IT" factor as JV puts it. Some of these guys could probably move up the ranks relatively quickly with a manager plus fighting managers could generate some fueds for the midcard on both shows.

I think managers and valets make matches more interesting. As long as they stick to their own role for the most part. Sure its fun to see a non-wrestler get in the ring once and a while, but too often thye end up competing to much.

It works as long as it is not over done. I am just sick of interfering and blind refs.

I was surprised on Raw when There was the usual switch up of the heel tag where the ref doesn't see it. The ref ALWAYS makes the face go back while not seeing the tag and lets the heel get away with it while very openly showing us he didn't see the tag. HHH and Ric switched up and the ref did his usual tag gesture questioning the tag and I thought, here we go again. I was very pleasantly surprised to see him make them switch back because he didn't see the tag. It is a little thing but it made me enjoy the match a lot more because I wasn't annoyed with usual crap.

Sorry for going off topic.

Yeah, i noticed that too...it was so little and insignificant, but it was still nice to see.

Who do you think the Coach would go well with. I think Test for some reason.

I still think they need to put Dawn Marie back with Lance Storm. Lance is a good wrestler, but he really doesn't have that "oomph" factor to be really over with the crowd. Back in ECW the two were great together and really over. Just my opinion.

I think it would be cool if they turned Nidia heel, gave her a bit more of an urban edge and paired her with Coach. That might be semi-interesting.

The problem with managers is that no one takes them as a serious threat anymore. I remember when Shane McMahon was running around ringside during the attitude era, everyone always knew he was going to pull out the referee sooner or later. Everyone is still so caught up in the Steve Austin hype that no main event face is associated with anyone.

Bobby "The Brain" Heenan is the best manager in wrestling history, why? Because he could talk for people who weren't good on the stick, like Andre, and actually looked like he CARED about all his wrestlers.

People took him seriously because he had Andre, the biggest threat in professional wrestling. Then came the Tag Champions, the Brainbusters, and then Mr. Perfect, Intercontinental Champion. He ran around the ring freaking out when they were in trouble and I still say his commentary during the 1992 Royal Rumble was hilarious, he almost had a heart attack everytime Flair was on the ropes.

Example:
*Roddy Piper runs in and saves Flair for a second from the Undertaker*

Bobby: Oh thank you Roddy!! It's not a skirt, it's a kilt....it's a kilt Roddy!!

*Piper turns around and starts beating on Flair*

Bobby: You freak!! You dirty skirt-wearing freak!

HOWEVER!!!
The reason he was successful was he didn't act like a wrestler....because he is a manager. Paul Heyman had the right idea when he was with Lesnar, stay out of the ring. If they come out of the ring, get a token "manager kick" to the ribs, but don't act like Shane and starting pulling off Flying Chairshots and Moonsaults.

Make the manager mean something, give a charismatic guy (Heyman comes to mind) a stable of champions and have them win CONSISTENTLY.

(That's another problem...too many title changes....matches don't end unless finishing moves hit (GOD!! I HATE HATE HATE that!!)....but that's for another topic)

sorry...that was a rant.
