| WWE and the internet. Now recently we have noticed the incline of internet related 'leaks' and such make their way to the WWE from fans and the WWE alike. My question is this, which sites do you think they would 'keep an eye on' to see what's been leaked?
I am not trying to promote other sites and would like to see the other sites stay off this one. I know JV has a great rep (as far as I can tell) in the business, along with Dave metzer (sp?). Now it's not beyond our imagination that they would pay someone to just surf and research what's being said out there, but how do they find the right sites to watch amidst the millions of wrestling based sites out there? And obviously if they trust the site owner's opinion, do you think they might actually check the message boards to go with the sites?
How often have you made some silly suggestion and got heat from it only to see it come to fruition within the next year? I mean that would be the best way to bring some creativity to the program. You stop by a respected message board, get an idea that seems fresh or they think would work, store it away for a bit so it's not totally obvious they got it from a certain site then pull it out when you need a change. Or are we (the people that come up with the ideas that actually happen) good enough to have the same idea as their creative team. I don't mean making predictions on when Trips would lose the belt but things like gimmick matches, new character ideas or storylines.
I'm sure the regulars here and elsewhere have had an idea seemingly 'used' on the show, or are we just lucky to think of the same thing as they did? I'll admit that recently on slow nights here I have been looking for some other sites that seem reputable (and if you have any could you pm me them please, just so my opinions are more fact based instead of just opinion, please...) and I have come across one along the lines of this place.
So basically do you think they just go to the main source like JV and read his thoughts and opinions or do you think they have some people surfing the boards also looking for the next big idea? And what would make them a credible site to reference to? I know Dave Metzer (sp?) and JV have a history in the business, not just the WWE. But what about some of the sites that are run by no-names in the business but are seemingly 'in touch' with what's happening, would they have credibilty even if they aren't known?
Just curious on thoughts about this, and remember I am not trying to start a debate on the best site(s), just curious as to what sites you think have credibility and why and do you think the WWE has some people 'watching'? |
