I actually liked what happened on more than just the action level. I know most of this may have been mentioned in the live thread post, but I don't feel like reading through 90+ posts to see. I'll number my thoughts.

1. The nickname game seems to have taken on a new preformer. After a few discussions on this board, I feel Shelton Benjamin will now have a nickname. I think the WWE planted the signs because they were only there when he was out (whereas the avg. fan throws up their signs constantly to get on the tube.) It's All About The Benjamin! I think it was a plant because it was right in front by the ramp (notice they showed it with HHH on the jumbotron...) and that person had no other signs all night. It's a touch to his name that could work without harming his character.

2. HHH jobs but retains the upper hand. Got counted out but still lost and the beating Shelton took afterwards helped set up point 3.

3. The group to match Evo. Odd match up of people but effective. Let's hope it carries on after Backlash.

4. Benoit residing in Atlanta, I feel is just a little way to get him more over with the Americans. Canadians haven't had any problems with him but the Americans seemed to have. They give him the belt and a new address. Yet he still gets mixed reactions constantly based on the arena.

5. Appologies to Lita. I was calling her stiff and boring. I think she was just telegraphing her moves too much before and tonight she did a much better job, but could still improve. It's a step in the right direction though, and it may just be her timing is still off. She can wrestle without having to do the high flying stuff, but it's alot harder to pull off.

6. Edge wins at backlash with use of cast. Isn't it obvious? Just to help cover some of the ring rust he may have, no biggie since it's only vs. Kane.

7. Retarded cousin, ship him to SD with all the other over the top characters they are trying to promote. There aren't many, but more are home on SD.

8. Good to see Regal back.

All in all I give it a thumbs up, I enjoyed it. I know I commented mainly on what happened but the action in the ring was worth watching also, Shelton looked a little shaky on a few spots during his match but HHH helped cover a bit and keep the continuity flowing. Another pat for HHH in my books for taking the loss but still looking impressive with the beat downs handed out. After all, we can't have him become a total flop before a PPV can we?

After reading the live thread I noticed it was a HHH/Evo dominated show once again, but when your top heels are going against 3 of the top faces and one up and coming face I guess they need the exposure.

Also when Trips came out with the sledge, I was hoping HBK would take a "real" hit and have it knock him out of the triple threat at Backlash. Narrow it down to two people and that could have been the way to do it.

Ten out of ten people die, so don't take life too seriously.

To be candid, I was pretty upset with the whole bloody thing. The only smiles I got was Eugene Dinsmore gtetting his shot at the WWE, Regal Returning, Coach and Tajiri fued and Johnny "Monday" Nitro's new music.
