JV signs to WWE?

actually he hasn't...but he could have?

ok, sorry no anger at JV, he is a good guy with this a quality website *props*

but I am reading his Raw report and to see after everything that happens the comment "well he didn't say that, but he could have" is doing my head in!

sorry for moaning - JV if you are there, sorry but it makes reading the Raw report impossible

JVs comments are one of the main reasons i read the review.

Cade then sat back down, and turned to look at Rob Conway who said, "I know. We're both screwed now." Actually he didn't, but he could have.
Pure gold.

I noticed he's been saying that a lot lately. It doesnt really bother me though, but he needs a new quote.

Rhyno's #1 mark just layed the smackdown!

If I am no one, and no one is perfect, then I am perfect.

Yes, the catchphrase is stale, but the reviews are still bottled goodness.

I like his comments he makes about the shows but I just wish he would do it in a seperate topic so I don't have to read through the whole review. I mean, if I have already see the show, I don't want to read about it again.

Another site does the rhetorical questions and they are fun to read. Maybe he could try something along those lines.

When I started throwing in those, "Well actually," lines, it was meant to be a one-off. But after the first review, I received around a dozen e-mails from readers raving about the comments. So I've kept doing them. I suppose if majority vote is against them, I'll eventually stop. But in the meantime, I think it's somewhat appropriate to throw in some humour/sarcasm whenever it's warranted.

On a side note, I will never, ever do rhetorical questions on a weekly basis. I think it's Dave Scherer that you're referring to. I prefer to have my own style, and because I don't have a weekly Raw reporter who does the straight results, I have to mix in my own comments with details from the show.

JV, I really enjoy the humor that you mix into your reviews. Sometimes, you can pull a Jim Ross and harp on one thing over and over (like the "thats what could have happened" thing, as well as all the comments about Test), but all in all, I feel that a little bit of humor is welcome in a normally mundane Raw review

Probably the funniest JV "that didnt really happen, but it could have" line was back during the Invasion, and Austin came to the ring and said that any member of the Alliance could come down to the ring and challenge him for the title. JV then wrote something along the lines of "And Stacy Keibler's music hit and she stormed the ring and beat Austin in a squash with a running powerbomb to capture the WWF title." Or something like that...

I personally like the catchphrase. It's pretty funny most of the time.

Yes it is him I am referring to but I didn't want to plug him lol. I understand you wanting to do your own thing. But you have to admit they are entertaining. ( That is the only thing I go to the site for, I ignore the rest.)

Maybe you could create a "What the heck was that?" weekly topic.

an idea i had, either for JV to do or for here on the forum, would be something called "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly", where at the end of the week, you pick one thing from Raw or Smackdown that you thought was really good (a match, promo, storyline progression, etc), one thing that was really bad, and one thing that was just ugly. I figure "the ugly" part could be something sarcastic/humorous, like for instance HHH's boots at Wrestlemania, or Flair's man-boobs
