Simon's adventures - Part II. Simon meets some WWE stars
My brother works just moved back from Hawaii recently and got a job at a very nice hotel here in Boston. He works within 1 mile of me. I told him when he got the job that a lot of celebrities go to his hotel because of its location and proximity to the highway and airport. In the past I know that Beyonce, Britney and some other famous stay there exclusively when in Boston.
So the point to my story.
Last night at like 11:15pm he called me and asked if I would be able to come down to the hotel bar. I say "Why the frig would I want to do that?" He says "Umm, because half of the WWE is here at the bar."
Needless to say, I was there within minutes. LOL. I felt like such a groupie.
So without giving up too much dirt. (not that there was a lot anyway) Here is my experience chilling at a bar with some Smackdown guys. Keep in mind that this story may not be that interesting to most, but I had a great time.
As I walked onto the floor where they were staying I almost crashed right into Eddie Guerroro carrying all his luggage. He looked very tired. I said "excuse me champ" and he smiled and walked up to the desk.
My brother and I sat in the two available seats at the bar. They happen to be in the middle of the bar. To my left if Kevin Dunn, (I believe he is a writer? not positive. I remember him from Tough Enough) Then it was Chuck Palumbo and Nunzio with someone I didnt recognize. To my right was Fit Finlay and Dean Malenko with Jamie Noble sandwiched in between them.
So I was chatting with my bro, trying not to be too cheesy and groupie like. I gave them their space. Then Orlando Jordan sat next to me and we started chatting. I asked him about the lottery and how he enjoys Smackdown etc etc. He was a very nice guy and also seemed very tired.
Eddie Guerroro then came down to the bar and gave every single person that worked with the WWE a hug. Chatted for like 10 minutes and said he was off to bed. Everybody called him champ and they seemed to have a lot of respect for him.
One funny moment was when Billy Kidman goes to the front desk with no shirt on and Dean Malenko yells across the hotel floor "Hey Billy, You should have sent your wife down with no shirt on!" He completely ignored them. lol. it was pretty damn funny.
Charlie Haas came down ordered some beers and asked me where they could go for some beers late night.
All in all it was pretty fun and I thought all the guys were nice dudes.
Lol, very cool. You should have pretended to be a writer for this site, plugged it and asked some interview type questions while buying them a beer.

Yeah, I wanted to talk to Kevin Dunn about this site, but then I figured I would have come off as a know it all mark and I just wanted to enjoy the moment.
Plus my brother works there and I didnt want to cause any waves.
Maybe next time they come to town. Turns out they stay at this particular hotel because everyone leaves them pretty much alone there.
I wanted to pitch some angles at Dunn soooooo bad.
I could have sworn Kevin Dunn was the guy responsible for the awesome video packages that WWE produce. I thought head writer on Raw was Brian Gewertz and on SmackDown its someone else, with Paul Heyman having some influence somewhere down the line. Im pretty sure Dunn is the video guy.
I am not sure. He may in charge of character direction. I do know this. Jamie Noble made a smart ass comment to Kevin that he didnt hear. (I believe it was just a joke and harmless) then Dean Malenko said "You better watch your ass, he can fire your ass just like Vince can. Watch your mouth around Kevin."
He seemed very respected. After he went up to his room the guys started acting a little more rowdy (but still not bad)
Also, Dean Malenko had a smile on his face almost the entire evening and sure didnt seem like a dink, but who knows.
Thats cool that you got to meet a bunch of guys and they were nice. I haven met a few getting off a plane for a show so they just walk by but my dad has met Austin and HBK, He said HBK was a little bit arrogant and he didn't care for him but when my dad met Austin in an airport in San Antonio it was like 8am and apparently no one was near Austin so he was like "Stone Cold?" and then Austin talked to him for like 5-10 minutes and was really nice and respectful.
Mr Simon sir, please tell us another story! Please please please!

I'll pull a few strings and see if I can introduce you to Legato. No promises though.
