Vince, in his round-about way, is admitting it himself by having this 'lottery' thing.
This messes up all the work WWE has put forth into building two seperate brands, which was the only real reason to keep it going.
Now they have to start completely over.
Why not just do, as I've said a million times, BETTER BOOKING? It's the same amount of time every week, why not just book guys in one match every week instead of forcing them on a show? That way EVERYONE can see their favorite superstars ONCE and awhile and there's actually an element of surprise.
That's my rant.
What's yours? How are things going to be with the lottery? How should they be?
If you guys can tell i am in a very bad mood, and this weeks episode of Raw did nothing to cheer me up. I miss Mania to go to the doctors... i find out my favorite lip gloss is discontinued... and then i fall walking down the street, in front of a group of extremely hot guys.
On one hand, it'll definitely even things out with the face/heel ratio, which was a concern when Lesnar up and left.
On the other hand...programs "in the works", such as Foley/Orton, Jericho/Christian, etc could be at risk if the guys are split. I don't think WWE would be THAT lame would they?
Oh, wait, they're re-branding...yeah they would.
Steiner better get pushed as a result of this or I'll be frying some eggs.
You'd better put your clothes back on...before you start puttin pot holes in my lawn...
I THINK THE LOTTERY COULD BE A GOOD IDEA BUT I THINK THEY SHOULD KEEP THE CURRENT CHAMPS ON THE SHOW THEY ARE ON NOW. SMACKDOWN IS THE WEAKER SHOW AND I THINK IT IS A WAY OFF EVENING THINGS UP
If done right, this could be huge. This could turn wrestling around(or be part of the turn around.) New feuds, new matches, new everything! I dont see how it could be a total failure, we ok it could. But i just dont see that happening. I believe Vince knows what hes doing here. They have been turning things around lately, I dont see Vince screwing that up now. And to be honest, What other choice did he have here? SD was all but finished when Brock left. They need top talent BAD. Now they can get that, Raw has WAY TOO MUCH. Now it can be even out. I want it to go something like this.
Raw:
Heyman(He'd fit here with Austin, hes got balls to stand up to austin, and make good tv.)
Austin(come on, Raw without Stone Cold?)
Taker
Kane
Orton
Big Show
Cena
Angle
Eddie
Foley
SD:
Eric(He'd fit here)
HBK
Y2J
Christain
Trish
Beniot
HHH(when he returns)
Batista
Flair
And so on.
Steiner isnt someone i care where he goes, to me he proved he cant do much anymore.

Could be decent. They've done it before, they know how to not fuck up as badly now as they did before. Could be alright.
I see this from a business stand point working for them, because it's been said that 70% of people who watch RAW only watch RAW, and same for Smackdown. If half end up somewhere else, that's more viewers for them. Now with experiance and viewers, this could be good.
I think this is a mistake to scrap the last two years of work, but I am intrigued at some new potential rivalries. I'd like to see Angle fighting a lot of people from the RAW roster, Shawn Michaels in particular. Also Jericho and Cena could be a good program, and I'd also like to see Orton v. Guerrero. There's a lot of cool rivalries that could from this, but I'm not convinced that it's worth it.
But do you need a whole new lottery for this? Why not have some high profile blockbuster trades? Hell, pay ESPN to carry them as news or something to make them more interesting.
I can see the headline flashing on the side of ESPN or something:
"RAW Management Considering 3 Superstar Trade: HBK, Kane & Test on the block for Angle, Big Show & Sable"
You don't need to retool the entire roster to make this work - just have a series of trades / free agent signings over a few weeks.
