As we reported a few days ago, Brock Lesnar is set to end his WWE career this Sunday at WrestleMania 20. It’s likely that Brock Lesnar will tryout for the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings.
10 mins Later
Mike Tice, the Minnesota Vikings coach has informed the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that Brock Lesnar will be not getting a tryout for the Minnesota Vikings. He said the following regarding Lesnar getting a tryout for the team:
“I’ve heard it. There’s no tryout. We haven’t talked to him. I’m not going to spend any time on that rumor.”
This should put to rest all talk of Lesnar signing with the Vikings.
WrestleMania XX News *POSSIBLE SPOILER*
As was reported, the original plan for WrestleMania XX was to make the triple-threat RAW Title match a ladder match, to add even more interest. However, WWE decided later that adding the stipulation would just be overkill, since it would waste the stipulation on an event that is already expected to do strong buys, at least, according to WWE sources.
There is now talk of running a rematch between the three at Backlash, only with the added ladder stipulation. Nothing is confirmed yet, as both HHH vs. Benoit and HBK vs. Benoit have been discussed. Thus, while it seems Benoit is pretty much set for the main-event in his hometown of Edmonton, the actual match is not yet known.
They announced that Eddie Guerrero would take on Kurt Angle in what they called "Wrestle Mania reVenge". Now my guess is, this means Kurt Angle will be walking out of Wrestle Mania with the title, seeing as how they advertised it like it would be "reVenge" for Eddie Guerrero.
I can't say I can guarantee that Kurt Angle will be walking out of Wrestle Mania as champion, but from the way they advertised it, it seems like that's gonna happen.
Also, I'd say that's about 100% confirmation for Angle vs Eddie on Smackdown! next week, other wise it'd be false advertisement.
The original plan for WMXX was for John Cena to defeat Big Show for the US Title. However, with Lesnar leaving, Big Show is more valuable as a heel, so you never know. This match will probably be kept short.
Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) is expected to defeat Kane and keep his streak alive.
One source described the outcome of the Rock N Sock vs. Evolution match as "expect the unexpected."
Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle have long been the favorites to put on the match of the night, although their house show work has been less-than-stellar. Hopefully, they'll pull everything together for a tremendous match.
Many expect HHH vs. HBK vs. Benoit to be a potential show-stealer.
While the safe choice would be for a Goldberg win against Brock Lesnar, with both guys leaving after WMXX, you never really know which direction they're going to go. What is known is that Austin will get over to a tremendous level in this match, likely with stunners to both men.
