Apparently, Brock may very well be leaving after Wrestlemania...for good (From PWInsider):

Brock Lesnar informed the WWE management at the SmackDown! tapings last night that this Sunday at WrestleMania XX will most likely be his last date working with WWE.

As we reported earlier today, Brock Lesnar announced yesterday that his last date for WWE would be at WrestleMania. We have more information on the story and this is definitely one of those situations where truth is stranger than fiction.

Brock Lesnar stood up in front of the Smackdown crew yesterday at the pre-show talent meeting and announced that he was leaving WWE after WrestleMania to pursue a career in the National Football League.

Lesnar, who recently signed a 7-year deal with the WWE, told Vince McMahon of his decision last Tuesday at Smackdown, a meeting we reported on earlier this week. As we said in that story, this situation started coming to a head when Lesnar, who has become burnt out by WWE’s travel schedule (and reportedly also by his recent push down the card from main event status) for some time, was then sent to work on the big South Africa tour but was “only” put into matches with Hardcore Holly instead of higher profile bouts. He met with Vince McMahon last week at Smackdown and voiced his concerns and informed him at that time that he was going to leave WWE.

Lesnar, has also reportedly been upset that he was going to have to put over the Undertaker’s Dead Man character after Mania, and be in a feud with a guy who, by the nature of his character, doesn’t sell for his opponent. This all led up to yesterday’s announcement.

From what our sources have told us, Lesnar informed everyone at the meeting that he was miserable in the business. He said that it was not any reflection on the business per se, but he just couldn't find happiness in the industry any more.

He publicly thanked Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Gerry Brisco "for finding me in college," and thanked Big Show and Paul Heyman for all their help with his career. He told the crew he wouldn't be back and he was said to be very emotional and wished everyone well.

The announcement was met with mixed reactions from the people in the company that I spoke with. Some felt that it opened up opportunities for the talent. Others, who had been critical of Brock’s “elitist” behavior of late and felt that he hadn’t earned his stripes, let alone deserved to be upset about not being pushed as a main-eventer, told me that now they can understand that he may have been that way because he was unhappy.

No matter how you look at it, WWE is losing one of their top wrestlers, at least for now. I never say never in the business, but at this point in time Lesnar is completely serious about leaving wrestling.
When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fullfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and be taken as prisoners to all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
...At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

I find all of this extremely hard to believe.

He is going to pursue the NFL?

Wouldnt it help if he had a football background? Just seems a bit strange to me.

I am quitting my job to focus on working in Lesnars spot on the WWE roster.

Also, very important factor in this "rumor" is that if he did in fact sign a 7 year extension, unless he had a buyout (unlikely), or Vince agrees to release him from his contract (even more unlikely) then Brock will NOT be able to get a job in the NFL. (not that he would be able to anyway)

Goes to show you that Vince should hire people with a PASSION for the biz, not just huge dudes with attitude.

It's about time......now bring on his next fued....

I truthfully don't know whether to believe it or not (I agree I started smelling something with the NFL comment). But I posted it anyway. Never say never, as they always say.

It this were true and Brock did leave it would suck. I may not like his current character direction, but he's an awesome talent and what a huge loss it would be for WWE. Losing one of their top stars like that.

I think the major sticking point to the credibility of the whole story is Brock's 7-year contract. As pointed out earlier, Vince isnt likely to let him go work for another organisation while still contracted to WWE.

Anyhow, what the hell is he gonna do with his new jet? I still think its a story distributed from within WWE headquarters to fool internet smarks, because the result of the main event at arguably the biggest event this industry has ever seen is pretty much already a given. I highly doubt that Brock Lesnar will leave WWE anytime soon. A break perhaps to sell whatever transpires at 'Mania, but thats it.

That would take a lot of doing. The people who report this stuff usually have reliable sources. WWE would have to know who the source is and then get them to leak it. If they knew who a source was, chances are they wouldn't be working for them anymore seeing how WWE would be pretty pissed that they were a sourse to begin with.

I can't see how they would get this out and for it to be taken as ligit without people having little doubt enough to report it. I guess they could have just put it out there and hope someone believed it. I don't get why they would though becaause I don't see what affect it has on who wins at WM or why they would care what we think is going to happen as long as we watch. I also don't see what it would do to increase buy rates either.

I don't know if it is true or not but I just don't get reasoning behind why WWE would make it up to fool us. What is the point? SO he stays, gee they sure fooled me. Doesn't change who i hope will win the match.

More on the brock Lesnar Leaving From ProWrestling.com

There is more news coming out of the WWE concerning Brock Lesnar & his departure from WWE. There have been several people who believe this could all be a work on the part of Vince McMahon & Lesnar, but apparently that is not true and Brock is generally miserable with the industry right now. There are also several people backstage who are shocked that Brock Lesnar believes he could play for any NFL team.

Added to that is talk of what will happen to Sable now, since she is Brock's significant other and a lot of what has been given to her has been due to Brock's status with the WWE.

There is a meeting today to decide what they will do with the match at WMXX between Lesnar and Goldberg. It will be both men's last match, which will make it very tricky to book. It was previously thought that Lesnar would go over Goldberg, but with both men now leaving, the WWE may change their plans for the match.

I dident know that Sable and Brock had anything to do with each other
