Ever since I let you guys know that KYN will be going through a redesign and rebranding, I've been getting e-mails daily asking about the status of the redesign. So I thought I'd give you guys an update.

First off, the actual redesign is going slower than I'd anticipated, but it's not a bad thing. We've decided to reprogram the entire site in a new language that will make the site a lot more automated and easier for me to update. Plus, we're going to use a portal system which basically means that we can feature options through the main page of the site that we currently can't. One of those features will be the Open Forum. In a nutshell, this means that the latest Forum posts will be featured on the front page, and people will be able to log into the Forum from the main page. It should result in much higher traffic counts on the board. Traffic on the current Forum isn't as great as I'd like, but I blame that on the fact that the Forum is sort of "tucked away" right now. It won't be on the new site.

You may have noticed over the last few months that I've started to bring back features that had been popular before my lack of time (and admittedly, lack of drive). Ask JV, KYN Babes, Picture This! and Acricanrana have all returned. I've also been much more consistent in doing Raw reviews. Plus, I'm going to be soliciting and bringing onboard more columnists. Also, you may have noticed that I've been putting a lot more work into news updates. I've been posting updates every day (including 12 new items last night), and I've recruited new contributors covering more promotions in the US, Japan and Mexico. All of this effort has resulted in a stronger hit count. Last month, the site did slightly over 3 million hits, and this month we're on pace for 3.5 million or more.

On top of all this, I'm also in the planning stages of launching an audio show. I've got several people interested in being part of it, and should we determine that it's financially feasible to do it, it'll be launched sometime this summer or early fall.

I believe the home page hit count was MY idea. Your welcome. Lol.


Also, I would be EXTREMELY interested in working on the Audio aspect of it.

I was actually going to pitch the idea of a two hour Sunday night wrestling show on the local sports radio station here. They will probably blow me off but its worth a shot.


Also, on a side note.....................would it be possible JV to see where your hits come from. For example. How many hits come from the Boston, MA area? Reason being is, I manage to get some plugs in for your website from time to time on the Sports Radio station here. It is the number 1 sports radio station in the country. 850am WEEI. I am just curious if it has resulted in more hits.

On a side note, John Cena was on the station yesterday pumping WMXX and they asked him a question that I sent it. Tee hee hee hee. I was so giddy.

You must have read my mind, I was just talking about what was going on wit hte new site last night. The radio show sounds cool. You can have locals who visit the site to talk about wrestling etc.
