What do you all think will be some of the matches for Mania?


It looks like Kane vs. Taker

HHH vs. Benoit (although I wouldnt be suprised at all if Benoit loses the title shot before that time, he shouldnt though)

Lesnar vs. Goldberg (this would be a cool match, I personally think Smackdown would be a better place for Goldy. Trade him for Cena, then start the Lesnar/Goldy fued.

Perhaps Kurt Angle vs. The Big Show?

Perhaps HHH vs. Foley or Foley vs. Orton. I wouldnt even put the WWE past giving us The Rock and Sock Connection vs. Evolution.

Other possiblilties?? Will The Rock come back to face maybe Austin? Will Austin be able to wrestle? Hogan vs. Savage?? Nope.

I personally think that Vince wants to make the show almost a nostalgic event without it being all old bastards out there. Just giving us old fueds that we have been familar with throught the years.

I think Kane/Taker, Goldberg/Brock, And HHH/Benoit are pretty much a given here.

Orton/Foley seems to be shaping up for WM also.

Wonder what they will do with Y2J? Will he still be involved in this Trish thing? Should be Interesting! Ive never cared for Y2J, But Im starting to enjoy him alot lately.

What are HBK? He is reportedly supossed to be a BIG part of WM? Maybe a HBK/Austin rematch from 1998's WM!... I'd pay to see that!

Id also like to see a Taker/HBK rematch. But we know that wont happen atleast not at WM.

I would like to see a HBK/Rock match a match that as never happened before to my knowledge

I think Angle will fight Eddie Guerrero, Y2J will fight Christian in either a singles match or a mixed tag match involving Trish and 1 of the other WWE Divas and possibly Cena taking the US Title of the Big Show!!!!

Kurt Angle is going to face Ken Shamrock. But it might not make it to WrestleMania, but after. Because WWE is interested in signing up Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz. They are both currently in trainning for the next UFC tournament.

So they are not sure whether they have time to put together a angle between the two.

That match would be the bollocks!

It was rumored to be a match that would tie into the fact that they are both into their leg locks.

I reckon they should get in his brother Frank Shamrock if Ken cant do it. Frank is a hard bastard.

brock lesnar vs bill goldberg ( this will be sooo cool )
chris benoit vs triple h ( this too will be sooo cool )
kane vs undertaker ( if booked properly this could be pulled off quite well )
chris jericho vs christian ( i think this could be one of those matches which steals the show )
kurt angle vs ken shamrock ( unlikely to go ahead )
kurt angle vs eddie guerrero ( this would be crazy good! )
mick foley vs randy orton ( if mick can get back into shape, wrestling wise that is! we all know he'll never be IN SHAPE )

I heard theres going to be a cruiserweight battle royal. I guess that way, with the depth of the roster, we can see more people get on the show. If they do that, we'll probably see Rey Mysterio, Jamie Noble, Tajiri, Kidman, Chavo, and Nunzio involved, plus maybe Tajiri's boys, Shannon Moore, and some of the other little guys i cant remember right now. Maybe they can have Hurricane be a surprise entrant, then win and switch over to SD.

Besdies that, we can expect to see the aforementioned matches of HHH-Benoit, Brock-Goldberg, Kane-Taker, and Foley-Orton.

Angle-Guerrero from the smackdown side looks like a possibility. Plus, from Smackdown, you know that Cena will have a match, and Big Show will likely have one as well. The tag straps will probably be defended as well

On Raw, we seem headed for a Jericho vs. Christian match (where Trish turns heel and hooks up with Christian. You heard it here first.) Then, you still need to make room for the Flair, Batista, HBK, RVD, Booker, the Dudleys, the women, and a few others. Plus, if Rock is gonna wrestle, you need an opponent for him.

Looks like the WM card is gonna be kinda crowded...

Cruiserweight Battle Royal..

I remember ages agoes proposing a 5-way/6-way match of CW's at 'Mania, and WWE (apparently) seems to agree. Weird.. I remember mentioning it, and then people seemingly agreeing with the idea.. Dunno whether I did originally come up with it, it's just funny, that's all.

Benoit shouldn't face Haitch at 'Mania. Give him Michaels. THAT would be a great title match.

Hmm... Cruiserweight battle royal eh? I like it! Lita vs Trish would be cool for the womens title, but it looks like were headed towards Victoria/Molly fued, which is cool too. But i cant see WWE leaving Trish and Lita off the card, unless they have their own little side match, somehow dealing with the whole Jericho/Trish thing. Insted of a cruiser battle royal, why not a womens battle royal? I dont think thats been done since Stephanie was champion.

I wish they had made the Gimmick Battle Royal a WrestleMania tradition. It was cool seeing some of the old characters back in there.
