Everywhere I go it's "Henry sucks!" and "Mark Henry looks like he's about to die of a heart attack whenever he wrestles!" (Credit to whomever came up with that).
Why does everyone hate him so much? I think he's alright. Book him like the guy he should be (Like he was at Survivor Series) and he's entertaining. He's got Long on the mic, and he's great.. what's to hate?

I like Henry myself. I never did when he was in the Nation, or as 'Sexual Chocolate'. That Barry White crap just sucked. It wasn't until he hooked up with Long and got this new look to him that I started liking him. Proof that the right gimmick can do wonders.

Again, I usually don't reply here but here's my 2 cents...
1. Look - Henry looks like a cross between a beefed up turtle and Quasimodo. Nevermind his face which looks like he's constipated all the time. And he sweats just walking into the ring. He looks wasted and out of energy by the time he gets IN the fucking ring.
2. Ability - let's face it...the guy can't be booked properly in anything because he simply can't move. That's like saying the Big Slow can be booked properly...probably not going to happen. His size and weight make him slow, sluggish, and unable to do most moves anyway (ie. Scott Steiner has this problem as well).
So there's just 2 points of what I'm sure are many. This guy is terrible but what are they going to do for the next couple years until his contract runs out? May as well do something and try to get their money's worth.

This is a bit of a bad example okay but its the best one I could think of off the top of my head.
"Andre the Giant" - The guy could do f**k all wrestling moves. i.e - next to none! But he was soooo over when he came out to the ring
His bad points were :
1.) He was slow.
2.) Unless he had the right guy to fight against ( i.e - "Jake 'The Snake' Roberts", "Hulk Hogan" ), he was boring.
The only thing he had going for him was his size. It made him into a larger than life monster.
Now "Mark Henry" is nowhere near as slow or crippled as Andre. And can pull of more moves than Andre ever could.
He doesn't need mic skills as his got "Teddy Long" to "Holla at ya playa" ( Ha ha To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. that guy makes me laugh so bad! ) ( Andre had "Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan" see the similarities heh! )
So all you have to do is book him as a monster ( Like they should! be doing with Batista ) have him in a sh*t load of squash matches.
Doesn't have to all be big star names that he squashes, but there has to be a few worthy names under his belt.
Im not a huge "Mark Henry" fan. I kinda like the geeky "Sexual Chocolate" sh*t they were churning out a few years back.
But im interested in this new gimmick.
And I just enjoy watching the guy in the ring. Nothing special about him at the moment. But if he just gets the right feud with someone, and makes it drawn out.
Not just a "3 matches and a PPV. End of feud".
Make him squash everyone he meets and then have him not able to get he's hands on a certain wrestler. Some big name wrestler I guess ( You take your pick ).
You know how it is though.
Before the PPV nowadays you get the same matches on the PPV that you've seen all month on RAW or SD!
WEEK 1 - HHH vs "wrestler 1" and Evolution would come down and cause the guy a loss.
WEEK 2 - HHH vs "wrestler 1" ( Rematch ) - guy is just about to win but gets screwed over ( But he came sooo close to winning though! )
WEEK 3 - Promo slaggin down "wrestler 1" maybe some interaction.
HHH vs "wrestler 2" and "wrestler 1" comes down and beats up on HHH, because he's sour that HHH beat him twice now. And "wrestler 2" is DQ while HHH and evolution make a quick gettaway up the ramp shouting and pointing as if saying "we'll get you for this humilation" huh?
WEEK 4 - another!!!! HHH vs "wrestler 1" and this time "wrestler 1" wins. And JR starts geeking off about "OH MY GOD!!! WILL THIS YOUNG KID PULL OFF AN UPSET THIS SUNDAY." ( The one where he is literally screaming and spitting down the mike! ala = "STONE COLD! STONE COLD!" )
And then its the PPV.
That is sooooo bollox, because you've already seen the PPV match 3 times already in one month. ( 3 TIMES??? )
Back on track though ( Sorry! got carried away To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ) Give "Mark Henry" a chance, he'll prove himself eventually.
Mark Henry will never be anything like Andre - before that Hogan match, he seemed like the immovable object - someone who would win every match.
Henry doesn't have that indestructable feel about him. He's slow, dull, and we've seen the big huge guy who people have difficulty wrestling aproximately 10,000 times before.
