| Nothing particularly huge, but I think it's a brilliant decision to bring back the Survivor Series team matches. Makes the PPV feel like something different, has a whole bunch of possibilities concerning storylines and future feuds, and it gives us the [i:post_uid0]TRUE[/i:post_uid0] feeling of Survivor Series back. Well done WWE, you've done one thing right at least. | ||||||||||||||

| Yes I totally agree...the survivor series used to be special because it was different, just like the Rumble and the King of the Ring (2 bad they scrapped it)...when every PPV looks the same, its just boring...I say bring back War Games as well and maybe even the battle bowl (the lethal lottery), those were also good concepts.......... ::baa:: | |||||||||||||||

| Im suprised to see it actually. Although i dont think todays fans would buy into the team psychology of a typical Survivor Series match. It was a brilliant way to further or conclude loads of feuds in one night. Brilliant stuff.. although im still not convinced that todays audience would appreciate it. | ||||||||||||||

| I agree, 3D. I've thought that WWE was stupid to not have the classic Survivor Series matches at that PPV the past few years. I do agree with Papa Shango, though, in that today's fans don't see what's so special about these matches relative to the fans when the PPV was created. Back in those days, there were no tag team matches booked unless the guys on a team were marketed and pushed as a team. They'd never have Hulk Hogan & Ultimate Warrior vs. Macho Man & Ted DiBiase on Superstars of Wrestling back in the day. That'd be unheard of. In fact, they'd probably use that kind of match to headline a PPV. Now, these types of pairings are so commonplace on a weekly basis that they have little to no drawing power. So, seeing a team of 4 to 5 big names team up to take on another team of 4 to 5 big names means little these days. This is where I agree with narc that they should evolve this somehow to fit today's fans' standards, while integrating other gimmicks, especially the Lethal Lottery. For example, at next year's SS, they put every guy on Raw & Smackdown's name into a "hat" and draw random teams of 4-5 guys - mixed and matched. The sole survivors of the resulting matches could go on to some type of big, free-for-all match in which the winner (survivor) gets a title shot against his brand's champion at Royal Rumble. This keeps the importance of the matches high, makes for some "dream" pairings, and has a big prize to shoot for. I also like that the Elimination Chamber debuted at SS last year, and I was hoping that it'd be a SS-exclusive match, but they screwed that up by booking one at Summerslam. Stupid. The EC at least had a survivor aspect to it, which fit into the PPV's name well. But, they screwed that up, so whatever. Regardless, I can't wait to see Team Austin vs. Team Bischoff, as well as Team Angle vs. Team Lesnar. Both should be solid matches. | |||||||||||||||

| I always loved the Survivor Series concept. I particularly loved it the year when they had a Match of Survival or something like that at the end, when all the heel survivors and all the face survivors from each of the matches teamed up in one last big match at the end. I think it was like six or seven guys against Hulk Hogan & Ultimate Warrior or something like that. | |||||||||||||||

| It was The Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan & Tito Santana vs Ted DiBiase & The Visionaries (Martell, Power & Glory, Warlord).....Warrior and Hogan were the sole Survivors. That was the 1st PPV I watched live.... ::baa:: | |||||||||||||||
