Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Building off of JV's reader feedback post on the site, and watching RAW the other night, I had a thought. Wouldn't Steiner and Val Venis make a reasonably good tag team? They're both jacked, they've both got chick-oriented gimmicks and promos. Couldn't they start a tag team, or maybe even a stable, called the Players' Club or something? Let's face it, Steiner's draw is in his image, as is Venis'. If they got a solid push and stayed true to their gimmick (more concerned about chicks then titles, but then realizing that titles bring the chicks, etc. and partied backstage, etc.) I think they could definitely spice up the division. And let's be realistic - they arent going to burn down any houses in singles competition. Thoughts? |

Rep Power: 19 ![]() | That'd be a great idea. Steiner could really put people over, as well. Being in a tag team it'd be easier for him to do that. It'd also create a lot more feuds. Steiner and Val would have more reason to actually do singles matches with this idea. WWE could have a decent tag division if they cared to. |

I think Steiner can be very marketable if used right, and i think this would work well. i also think that if/when kevin nash comes back, he and HBK should be a full-time tag team. since neither of them are full-time singles wrestlers anymore, put them in a tag team so they can share the workload and they wont have to exert themselves too much

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | The only reason I'd say Steiner/Venis over Nash/HBK would be that Venis can carry the lion's share of the ring work, and give Steiner a hot tag that he most certainly can deliver on it - I mean if he's only got to put in 2 minutes of hot offense, he's going to set the crowd on fire w/a few suplexes, some big chops and his downard spiral finisher. HBK could carry Nash and do the same thing, but Shawn's a lot older than Val, and while he's definitely in peak shape, I don't think he could do it night in and night out. That being said, I do like the idea, particularly if they grabbed a young wrestler and formed a mini-stable. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | If they did Steiner/Venis, they'd need to tweek both of their gimmicks a little so that they looked like they belong together. Otherwise, it'd be a good way to use them. I have a few other pairings that I think would be cool: Batista & Sean O'Haire: have Batista go back to his more evil gimmick - maybe his old Leviathan thing? O'Haire started out interesting but was buried under the whole Piper/Hogan feud. Rob Conway & Sean Morley: I think that they should drop the Val Venis gimmick altogether, and have he & Rob Conway team up after his whole La Resistance crap is done with. They've got similar looks, and if they were given some kind of collective gimmick, they could be a marketable team. Spanky & Spike Dudley: They could have a good run as a semi-comedic team that is the ultimate underdog team. Their duration as such would be somewhat limited, though, as they couldn't beat a lot of teams convincingly. Hardcore Holly & Billy Gunn: Repackage these guys, and they'd get over I think. Hardcore's been off for quite a while, so it'd be cool to see him come back. Gunn's Mr. Ass gimmick is so tired, it's painful. Give these guys something to do.
