It seems like Hardcore wrestling is completely dead. Sure, we see some hardcore elements in WWE and some indies like to go crazy with the extremeness, but all in all it seems to be a dead.

Would anyone be interested if WWE brought back a hardcore division?

What kind of hardcore stuff would you like to see?

How much did Foley have to do with hardcore wrestling becoming popular?

Personally, I think he had a lot to do with it...more than people give him credit for.

Foley and Funk helped bring it to WWE. They were good characters and they were people who you would invest time in to watch them do something differently. I don't think the same thing could've been repeated with anyone else.

I would like to see a hardcore division. Make it less cartoony and give wrestlers more time for their matches with it.

Also, I think more hardcore elements should be brought to regular matches. Let's do a frogsplash into the crowd like he used to, things like that.

Tables and Ladders and Chairs [b:post_uid9]OH MY!!![/b:post_uid9] Stop signs, Suger glass windows, Boiller room brawls, and in HC matches Tajiri's Tarantula is deffantly legal.

Most if not all of it (I feel ECW had helped at least 3%.

Bring back hardcore only if done right. For awhile it seemed hardcore was used in an attempt to make a so so wrestler seem better. I was never into Crash Holly, he just didn't strike me as hardcore.

Foley was the man, and when he left hardcore was over. He knew how to use hardcore the right way.

I was thinking the same recntly. I was going to post, just been busy recently. I think the 24/7 was a little overdone towards the end. But even though the it takes a certain caliber of wrestler to constantly preform hardcore matches, it does give other talent a chance to showcase some of their talents or ideas. Not to mention a chance at some TV time. 3 or 4 way matches were popular enough (TV time for more wreslters...) since there was enough action going on with the 'toys' involved to cover some of the shortcomings of certain wrestlers.

I don't think it should come back for the gimmick aspect, because they were always good (ok, most of the time) for coming up with ideas and toys for the matches. I think it should come back because it would give some others a chance to create a storyline, or to see some of our favorites battle without it having to be for A major title. That division could be made credible without the wrestlers having to risk serious injury each time them head out to the ring. It would also give some of the fans a slight thrill again when some of the matches would be brought out into the crowd again. You just don't see as much interaction out there during matches anymore.

*IDEA*: What would some of your dream hardcore matches be. Either wrestlers or gimmicks. Current or past superstars? I have some but will post later, I have to get going right now.

Ten out of ten people die, so don't take life too seriously.
