Kevin Nash

It appears that the WWE has already lost faith or interest or whatever it is in Nash. Is this possible?

Saw on another thread by Ida and read it in Jimmys Raw Review.

"Nash is still on his way to the ring"

Ha, that was funny, but unfortunetly for Nash, its true.

That was the slowest run-in in the history of wrestling. Does he realize how slow he is? Does the guy have bad knees? Is he just too old? Whats the deal?

I would like your thoughts on Nash and what you could do to hide his weaknesses and enhance his ??? strengths.

P.S. The Jacknife Powerbomb used to be the nastiest move, in 2003 it looks like a tired old man giving a powerbomb. He just plops the guy onto the mat.

Thank you,
Simon

He is brain damaged. Back in WCW he was banned from using it in an angle he was doing and he did actually hurt someone. When he started doing it again it is what you see now. The dumbass can't do it right anymore because he forgets that he is not in WCW. What pisses me off is I liked Nash. I liked his size, his look, his intensity. Now he just anoys the crap out of me. They better put Nash's enterance music on it's own CD because they have to play it for as long as it takes him to get to the ring.

I used to really dig Nash back in the day, Big Daddy Cool, to his entry into WCW. He was nasty back then.

Oh well, some just dont know when to say when.

Well he's still an imposing figure, but really, his time has past and his injuries and age have caught up to him. Hell in a Cell? Are you kidding me? You know he can't take any great spots, so why do something like that? If WWE was smart they'd play to Nash's strengths and book him in a Streetfight/Hardcore match against Trips, allowing him to use some weapons.

Future plans? I'm not sure. I think Nash could draw if he had the right gimmick - and that gimmick would've been the nWo had it not fallen apart. Perhaps teaming him up w/Michaels would be a good idea. The problem here is that he isn't established enough to put over the younger talent, which could cause a problem.

I think a great match would be Kane v. Nash as a sort of "passing the torch" match. Turn Kane heel at Badd Blood, having him squash RvD and walk out on the match, essentially forfeiting the titles. Then on RAW have him jump Nash - his logic would be simple: to be the best you have to beat the guy who's always been known as the best big man in the business (granted, UT blows him away, but he's on Smackdown, ain't he?). Spend the rest of the month having Kane run in on matches, demolishing people - throwing guys through windows backstage, show vignettes of him lifting and have him pretty much go crazy in promos. In the meantime, have HBK consult Nash on what he should do (for example..)

HBK: "Kev, I wanted to talk to you about this match you've got coming up with Kane next month."
Nash: "Fire away, little buddy. What's up?"
HBK: "Well, you see Kev, you've always been the man, and to me you'll always be the man. You've used your power and size to put together one of the most dominant careers in the history of wrestling."
Nash: "Guilty as charged, hehe."
HBK: "Exactly. But I'm a bit worried about Kane, and I think you should be too. See, you and I aren't exactly spring chickens anymore, Kev."
Nash: "Look, just because I dye my hair doesn't mean I can't still kick ass."
HBK: "Oh no, I didn't mean that. What I meant is that Kane is a monster. He's young, he's hungry, and in case you haven't noticed, he's about seventy-five cents short of a dollar."
Nash: "I thought he got paid pretty well?"
HBK: "I mean he's nuts, Big Daddy. Crazy. And not happy-go-lucky Mick Foley crazy, I mean insane. He doesn't want to compete against you, he's not interested in the world title (if Nash wins it this Sunday, that is). He wants to punish you for building a legacy for big men that guys like him have problems following. You've left big shoes to fill, Nash."
Nash: "Size 21s, to be exact."
HBK: "Am I getting through here?"
Nash: "Yes, you are. I appreciate the concern, buddy. But if you think I'm going to take a pass on Kane, you're nuts. I might not be as spry as I used to be, but I'm definitely just as handsome and I can beat the crap out of a meatball like Kane. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a match to attend."

Sorry about the lengthy dialogue, but it helps to frame the concept I'm trying to get through here - almost like a Rocky 3 sort of storyline. At any rate, at the PPV, Kane demolishes Nash, eventually breaking out weapons to get himself disqualified but to do some serious damage to Nash. Kane then gets into the title hunt and is victorious. While defending it, Nash, who has been off TV for a bit, reappears with a run-in that costs Kane the belt and kicks off the final stage of their feud, which ends with Nash taking Kane to the brink, but finally losing to him. At the end of the match, Kane makes a face turn and cuts a promo saying how Nash has changed him, taken him to Hell and back, and he's finally gotten some direction in his life. They handshake/hug and walk out together. Nash then retires from in-ring action to much fanfare.

I think this does the job in giving Nash a set 6-8 mos left in the WWE, while it gives Kane the rub he needs and establishes him as a major player on RAW. Nash gets to go out not necessarily on top, but gets a huge career-ending feud that sees him walk away with dignity intact (since he basically is credited for rebuilding Kane, albeit indirectly.)

I think Nash is better as a heel and when he is with someone else. My first thought would be to bring back the nWo, however most are tired of that angle, especially after WWE ruined it completely on its last run. So how about either...

Nash and Shawn as the Dudes with Attitudes, they could be a tweener tag stable, like DX meets nWo.

or

Wolfpac- No nWo reference, just Nash with maybe Steiner, HBK, and even Jericho. Basically nWo but without the overused nWo name.
